    Tire shine. Which one?

I have never used a coating on anything (unless WETS is considered a coating). But I can't imagine anything being durable enough to stand up to the thousands of miles a driver puts on a semi. With that said I would lean towards the economical, easy and forgiving application of a good water...

    Tire shine. Which one?

Meguiars ultimate black tire coating. Easy to apply and the longest lasting tire coating I have used. Or..... Meguiars hyper dressing. Won't last as long, but is so economical and easy to apply, that it might make sense to buy a gallon. Sent from my iPhone using Autogeekonline mobile app

    DA over Rotary...

Thank you all....... good stuff from all of you! I really like the thought of finishing a compound down lsp ready. I consider myself pretty competent with a rotary (though I suspect many of you could rotary circles around me), but have never been able to get a compound to finish to a point I...

What is your go-to wash mitt?

I am currently using MF "noodle style" mitt's like these.. Supreme Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt, microfiber wash mitt, washing mitt However.... I actually prefer the feel and wash of wool/synthetic wool mitts. I kept getting wash swirls when I used the wool pads, and one of my "suspicions" was...

BOSS 21 or Rupes 21 MkII

Guess I'll throw my question in here........ I use a Rotary for serious correction and a GG6 for finishing, and am pondering this long throw stuff. My outlying question is, what does the 6MM of additional throw offer on a 5.5" pad? Not an engineer so dumb it down for me hahaha.

    Meguairs natural shine

I've used Natural Shine as both interior and exterior, from rubber to plastic. As mentioned above, it is great for interior. For exteriors I absolutely love the finish it left behind, and although far from being considered durable, it was one of the more durable dressings I used before...

Tips for cleaning around rear badges

Awesome advice, with three different levels of aggressiveness. Only addition I would add is a plush MF towel can often get into the "nooks and crannies". Sent from my iPhone using Autogeekonline mobile app

Anyone know of a medium and or light polish compound for use in the sun?

I generally always try to find some form of shade, or way of cooling the surface down a bit before correcting/waxing/sealing. HOWEVER, there are days that there are few options. I'm with Cruz, I just work a smaller section at a time and know my working time is going to be shorter.

    White 'haze' on my car

I am surprised a good hand wash would not take car of this. I don't use waterless, so not sure the "cleaning power" of it, but I would think a good mitt, maybe a slightly heavier dilution ratio of a reputable wash soap and some good old fashioned elbow grease would remove the majority of that...

    DA over Rotary...

Hi Mike, There is a lot of talk about the forced rotation and long throw DA's available. DEFINETELY not trying to start another "long throw vs forced rotation" thread, but more around True Rotary over DA. I know you have a ton of time behind a true rotary machine, and wanted to get your...

    HD Speed for first time...

Thank you. I agree 100% that it finishes much easier than 205. I can get "equal/close" to the same results with 205, but I generally have to break out a softer pad and really slow things down. That was probably the biggest turn on to me for the HD Speed. I could finish as well with a...

Need Opinions: Used Car Value w/Full Detail

I may be chiming in a bit late but.... When it comes to a detail increasing the sale price of a used vehicle, there is a reason used car lots either have an onsite detailer or a few in their back pocket. Clean cars = cared for cars to most.

    HD Speed for first time...

I have read and viewed much about HD Speed. It is one of the most talked about AIO that I have seen and the only negative I've heard about was the clean up on pads. At such a modest price point, it wasn't hard to purchase, but having always been a Meguiar's guy, actually using it over my...

    So many questions

You came to a great place to get lots of input. My opinions - GG6 or the PC are the most versatile of the DA's, and conveniently the most budget friendly. You can get different size backing plates to make each either a 3", 4", 5.5" or 6" DA. There are even brushes you can attach and turn...

    cleaning sealed trim?

I should have qualified that I am not using the megs x wax like a dressing. I just hit the trim while I'm doing the paint. I have not had any problems with the megs. I assume most synthetic spray wax would be safe on coated plastics. However, I am a VERY firm believer of testing...
