Sorry! I was mistaken on the Maguiars products that I am (was) using. After taking another look, the ACTUAL products are M105 and M205. I'm getting hazy finish after using the M205. I assume all of the discussion/suggestions above are still relevant.

It is a Chemical Guys Hex Logic white pad. It is fresh single stage paint, no clear coat. I can go as low as 1000 RPM. What would you try next?
