Screwed up big time. burned paint?

Anytime I work on a car I ask the owner if it's been polished or buffed or had body work done if I'm unsure. Beyond that check with a depth gauge to know what your working with. My guess is the couple times it was buffed with a rotary it was buffed down to almost nothing and you just finished...

Griot's BOSS fast correcting cream/paint correction questions.

I worked on a black Hyundai sonata with deep scratches and fast correcting cream with the white boss pads worked well. It's deep enough it can't be fixed but it's much less noticeable now. Like eldorado2k mentioned I use correcting cream first since it will finish well enough to usually not...

    Synthetic clay?

I inspect it if it becomes grabby and its got lubrication and every panel or every other if small I will hit it with my clay lube and rinse it off. I know clay will visually show the contaminants and its said that clay is better but tbh I can't much difference What wins for me is ease of use...

Took some time today and polished my car with griots correcting cream. It finished out nicely with the yellow boss pad. I think I could have had better correction with with a orange pad followed up with perfecting cream bit I was trying to keep it to 1 step. Finished it off with mckees...
