While I have never used any type of coating (yet), I'd imagine you want to put the coating on a BARE surface. So either polish/wax remover on your point, then some type of IPA or various coating paint prep THEN coating. Other members please let me know if my logic makes sense and/or is correct.

I use to use their rinseless wash and it was great. I've since moved to D114 but I had no issues with DP Rinseless wash.

I usually like to stick "within the family" regarding LSPs. So if you were to do BlackHole again, perhaps top it with Nattys or something else from PoorBoys. Nothing wrong with mixing and matching but keeping within the same manufacturer keeps "some" of the guess work out.
