    Can one PREVENT water spots?

ok, so I'm going to put a new ceramic on. What are your go-to methods of removing and prepping a 3 year old ceramic coated PPF covered car? AND GO!

    Can one PREVENT water spots?

This car is always parked in the garage and under a cover! Only driven on nice days locally. But... It got hit twice by sprinklers. Once when it was parked WAAAAY in the back of a parking lot, ya know, to be safe! For some bizzare reason, the parking lot's sprinklers came on mid-day when I...

    Can one PREVENT water spots?

That's it? But the sprinkler water and sun ate right through it.

    Can one PREVENT water spots?

I've combed over the forums and don't really see if this has been addressed: Is there a way to PREVENT water spots from happening in the first place? Let me elaborate: 1) My weekend-only toy is fully PPF covered and I have a home-level ceramic coating over the film, which I routinely top with...

    Clear bra and Ceramic

Thanks all. Just so I don't get the wrong product, can you suggest the lightest, finest polish and pad to use? I have a good random orbital. Oh, and I'm always happy to oblige with pics...

    Clear bra and Ceramic

Related question: I have PPF and 3 years ago I put ceramic over it. I think I need to strip it and start again because in the right light, I'm seeing odd product residue that looks like high spots or something, but it's pretty wide spread. I'd like to strip it and start again. I started using...

    New to correction, scratch removal

I finished the car and am pleased with the results. I didn't go nuts trying to get every little mark out. I'll leave that up to the pro who will eventually be applying the PPF. But for now, it's a HUGE improvement! Hmm, I wanted to upload a few more pics but can't. Am I limited to pic uploads...

    New to correction, scratch removal

Griot's: G9 new polisher. Griots orange pad. Griot's Complete compound. It's a black FFR Cobra. Paint is 7 years old with only 1,800 miles on the car. I have a few light (in clear coat only) scratches I'm trying to get out.

    New to correction, scratch removal

I"m brand new at this. Started today and so far am delighted with the results. But I have one question: typically how many seconds/minutes should you spend on each 2'x2' section? Do I keep going until the polish vanishes? I don't want to burn it but when I was done with the first fender, the...

    Ceramic on rims, questions

will do. Thanks. So, how long should I go before cleaning the brake dust off the rims? I guess I could just not touch them until I receive the new shipment of ceramic, but I hate driving dirty.

    Ceramic on rims, questions

I'm a newbie, so go easy. I used Wolfgang Uber ceramic on my entire, brand new Shelby GT350. But I didn't get to the rims until this weekend, after 600 miles. So I removed them, cleaned, prepped with Wolfgang prep, and started. But I realized I wouldn't have enough product to do all of them, so...

Product Update: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating After 11 Months

How long after applying this product can I wash it, using Wolfgang's auto bath soap, of course. Is 5 dry days enough? It needs a light wash.

Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

Question for you experts: What do you use for the daily dust removal? I like to keep my toys covered in the garage, and I dust them down before and after a Sunday drive or car show. Now that I just applied Wolfgang Ceramic for the first time, what's the best thing to spray and wipe the car...

Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

Thanks! Which toppers / boosters did you like? I was planning on using CarPro Reload Silica Spray Sealant that I THINK is supposed to be put on an hour or so after the ceramic coating. Please correct me if I'm wrong there. This was based on a suggestion/review I read (can't recall where now).

Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

Mike, Thanks for the detailed reply, much appreciated! I'm planning to begin this tonight after work, so I'd love to hear how this product goes on with just the foam block vs putting suede over the block. Thanks again. Adam

Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

I'm about to use this on a brand new car that has PPF on half the car. The rest of the car will be clean and ready for the Wolfgang kit. My questions are: 1. Can I do the car in sections over a few days? Say I do the roof, hood and trunk, completely, then the next day do the vertical surfaces...

Product Update: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating After 11 Months

Thanks! I was very much in the fence about it, but I'm glad I went with it over classic white with blue stripes. The stripes really make the gray pop. I'm hoping that Lead Foot Gray winds up being a one year only color. Should help keep the value strong. But regardless of that, there are not...

Product Update: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating After 11 Months

I just ordered the full kit to use on my brand new Shelby GT350. It's my first time ceramic coating, but the reviews make it look very doable. I plan to do the glass and rims as well as go over my PPF/ clear bra once installed next week. Question: can I use ceramic over my factory vinyl stripes?
