The Worst Secret Technique I've Ever Witnessed!

That must be how people got the idea to spray no- touch tire shine on the engine. Just to use the air nozzle to blow it around, and say it's cleaned/detailed. Mike tell that secret trick to sweet project cars. I bet he would make a video of it gor his channel. Crazy people with crazy ideas.

    What's better than Rain-X?

For a few minutes each month and a bottle for less than $6 that lasts me a couple of years. I see no reason to use anything else. I don't get streaks from the wipers. Before I wipe the haze off I give the glass a quick mist of distilled water. That makes wiping off the haze quick and streak free.

    Gas pedal cleaning

I prefer using a flag tipped paint brush on the pedals. A stiffer brush doesn't seam to get into the tight patterns on them. I don't always find stiffer equals better cleaning. I find usually a lot of bristles tight together even though softer, works a lot more aggressively. I have used tire...

Does anyone routinely do underbody wash/detail?

Spent hours last week cleaning the undercarriage of the 16 Buick Encore. I used purple power, hot water, various brushes, a old mf mitt, four jackstands, a full face shield, a creeper, and about four hours. Long winter with not enough maintenance washing. Spring undercarriage wash was a bit...

    RaggTopp vs 303??

I've used both. My preference is 303. You can't go wrong with either one though. Both bead water the same. Both keep the top looking new. Try one, try the other. Decide for yourself which one you prefer, because like I said both work very well.

    New to engine detailing

The alternator pulley has a over running clutch with bearings in it. The grease seal on those aren't very good. You can easily wash the grease out. Then a few weeks done the road it goes out on you. It happened to me . It was only a few months later that I found out it was my fault.

Cquartz vs mr fix 9h coatings

There's a YouTube channel from Texas where this guy puts many different products on one hood. The spot he used mr fix 9H on, didn't last but 3-4 months. Based on that not worth it to me. Get a tub of fk1000p and get better durability.

    I just don't get it????

User name is a lot like the avatar. It's a way of describing yourself. Who you are, where you came from, where your headed. Plus I think it easier to remember descriptive user names than normal names.

Because of what labor could be involved, it might be cheaper to replace the wheel well liner. New they usually only run 40-80$. Used ones in good condition even less.
