One Brand for Everything, what would you choose?

Wow, thanks for all the responses. For the record, I'm just a DIYer, not in it as a business. That being said, sounds like Megs is winning out. I'll have to check into this 3d/hd, never used it.

One Brand for Everything, what would you choose?

Simple question, if you had to use just one brand of product (Meguiars, Black Fire, Pinnacle, Griots, etc.) to provide every product you use in the detailing process (other than actual equipment), which one would you go with? I know it's silly, but I have a thing about wanting to use just one...

    Question/Problem about glass microfiber cloth

A little off topic, but am I the only one who HATES cleaning interior glass? That is by far the worst part of detailing IMO.

BF Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Problems

In that case I think I was putting it on way too thick. I could see the swirls where I was putting it. In that case, this jar of wax will last forever!

BF Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Problems

Yes, the sealant actually cured 24 hours. I might have been putting it on too heavy, don't really know how to tell. Yes, one panel at a time. Typical Tennessee weather conditions, warm and humid.

BF Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Problems

Sorry, should've mentioned that this is on my 2013 Mercedes C350...white. Also, I washed with CG Citrus, used the Nanoskin Autoscrub Speedy Prep Sponge – Fine Grade, and applied the BF Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection prior to putting on the carnauba. Also, for those of you that have...

BF Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Problems

Hope someone can help. I applied the BF Wet Diamond Paint Sealant and now I'm trying to follow up with the Midnight Sun Carnauba. The paste goes on VERY easy, but I can't seem to get it all the way off. I'm sure there is something wrong with what I'm doing, but I can't figure it out. I'm...

Your favorite interior detailer? Suggestions please to replace Armor All

I can't stand the smell of Meg's 40, very chemical like. I've just discovered Optimum Power Clean APC and so far I like it better than Ultima Interior Gel.

    Help, bad etching? Pic heavy

Any other suggestions? Can anyone tell what those spots are and how they might have been caused?

    Help, bad etching? Pic heavy

Sorry, guess I left out some details. I'm using a Porter Cable (old version, not XP). Working the product until dust starts appearing. Machine set on 5 with varying degrees of pressure ranging from it barely turning to turning fast. It surprised me when the 105 didn't result any hazing like I've...

    Help, bad etching? Pic heavy

I'm getting frustrated with my 2008 Lexus ES 350 paint. It appears to be etched really bad or something and I don't know how to correct it at this point. Here is what I've tried so far. 1) Megs 205 with Orange LC pad - nothing 2) Megs 205 with Yellow LC pad - nothing 3) Megs 105 with Orange LC...

What is the best way to clean wax applicators?

Me too, I've tried the powder stuff you can order on AG and it didn't do much for getting Black Fire Wet Diamond sealant out. I kept squeezing product out of it and finally just threw the applicator away.

SON1C Synopsis 28 : Chemical Guys - Glossworkz Car Wash / Shampoo Review

I love Glossworkz! It seems to provide a higher lubricity for me...especially compared to Black Fire shampoo (which I was very disappointed in).

    Burned paint on first try

What do you consider "overworking" the surface? I've got some scratches I'm going to work on and don't want to do that!

    Fast Acting Bird Poo?

Yeah, I've left it on a car for far longer than this and didn't have an issue. Must be some sort of test tube species.

    Fast Acting Bird Poo?

Here's the story; I went through the following process the weekend before last on my 2008 Lexus ES 350 (charcoal): 1) Washed with CG Citrus 2) Clayed with Pinnacle Poly Clay 3) Polished with Megs 205 (I'm still afraid of 105 being a new guy) 4) Sealed with BF Wet Diamond Car looked great after...

Why not 6.5 pads on DA

That's what I'm using and from what I understand is what the Porter Cable was designed to use (someone could maybe confirm or deny that).

Any cautions about doing an older model Accord?

Thanks, this is a one owner with 230k miles. Color is gray/silver. Still the original paint, never wrecked. It's a family member's car so I know all the history. Gets washed regularly but very rarely (maybe every couple years) gets waxed. Never polished and never sealed.
