Controlling pigment removal using Mirror Glaze #7 - 1953 MG

If you’re in the resto game, I’d test it yourself to see how it works and if the finish is for you. I’m in the process of testing its polish-ability after curing on severely oxidised gelcoat.

“Includes paid promotion” is not transparent enough. The tag was added for content that included spot advertising, not an entire video that is an advert. The major concern with this guy is that he claims to do fair and valid assessments of product based on his own “criteria”. When in fact he...

Because change is made by having conversations. We can simply ignore scammers by hanging up on them or deleting their emails. But what about those who don’t know better and continue to be fleeced? Those who know and care have a moral obligation to start conversations and make noise. Sure this...

My experience w BF Ceramic Pro Black Edition

So you applied Cquartz UK to the whole car 6 months ago and you’ve just started applying and new coating to the whole car after only a wash. Do I have that right? Was the bumper easier to coat than the trunk lid by any chance?

Let’s also not forget that these people make money from doing so. With autogeek having such a strong stance on advertising outside their portfolio, it’s surprising there is no official position on YouTube advertisers. Sure, you can’t, and shouldn’t, ban a public social platform, but...

There is one hidden element that is most disappointing about YouTube “detailers”: They use forums like autogeek to harvest content. Certain product combinations, techniques and ideas are dead giveaways.

Customer claims I cracked her windshield...

You certainly don’t need “protection” but there comes a point where it makes financial sense to consider insurance. Working on an 80k vehicle as a Detailer is an entirely different risk profile to someone driving an 80k vehicle on a track. The latter has a much greater risk of total loss due to...

Customer claims I cracked her windshield...

You can certainly be a professional detailer without insurance. Insurance does two things; cover the business owner for liability, and legitimises the business for the customer. If a customer doesn’t care to ensure a business has insurance, and the business owner is willing to accept the risk...

Can this exterior trim be restored?

The trim looks a lot like a rubber compound. If it is, use a dedicated rubber cleaner to purge all of the embedded contaminants and follow up with a rubber or trim restorer. After using a restorer, you can apply a ceramic coating to ensure it won’t happen again.
