Apparently my initial post has caused some confusion. To clarify, the tint was placed on the inside of the windshield, just the same as side and rear windows have tint applied. The problem isn't with the tint itself, but with the glass on the front of the windshield. The tint has reduced...

The tint on the inside of the windshield glass acts the same way as putting on a pair of polarized sunglasses...it reduces glare and sunlight rays which allows things that were previously less noticeable on the windshield to become more clear and noticeable. It's almost like wearing reading...

Almost seems to kind of defeat the purpose if you have to purchase a separate product to use in conjunction with a car soap to get it to do what you want it to do in the first place.
