Done a few corsa red ferraris and all SS paint. I go through twice as many pads! Beautiful work, Scott, as usual.

    Machine polish, first attempt question

Here's my take... If it's a DA machine crank it all the way up to 6. Do 4-6 passes, not 3 and with enough pressure to compress the pad but NOT stop the spin. Car Pro says that's a "rapidly" diminishing abrasive. Let it break down and then polish. If after that you get the same results move...

Beautiful, Scott! Good 'ole PO85RD. I used that with LC black pads back in the day. Good to see it's still effective.

    Typo's on websites etc...

One of the things that bugs me and, I admit may be just me, but when I visit company websites and see typo's. This may not be too important for most...as long as people get the intended message...but we're "detailers" and should pay attention to those things. Again, I may be in the minority...

    Paint Transfer

My approach to paint transfer... I have ALWAYS wanted to remove something on top of the paint with a chemical cleaner or clay. My favorite is Duragloss 501. I do this first and see if after there are any scratches in or below the paint i can adress later. It doesn't make sense to sand or...

    Iron decon and clay combined...

I like your iron decon procedure, Eldo. Rinse, apply iron remover and give it a few mins then normal wash after. I think i'll change up my process to that. My only question is when do you clay?

    Iron decon and clay combined...

Yeah, good point Chilly. I NEVER want any iron solution to dry on the paint.

    Iron decon and clay combined...

I've seen several pro level videos on YouTube where they combine iron spray treatment as the lube and then clay with it on the surface. I can see the time savings with this approach but i personally don't like it. What say you folks?

    Forum

Super slow again for me this morning. This is getting old! And, it seems there is no forum admin. I would hate to abandon my 5,260 posts and find another home but i'm getting closer each day. There are several other forums I visit but AG has felt like "home" for many years. When reliable...
