Looking for ideas on new garage

If possible, connect a central vac system from the house into th garage or install a dedicated system. Stereo speakers are an excellent idea. Over size the garage doors so there is no issue getting cars in or out.

    Windshields

I've noticed there is a dark area outside the line made by the windshiekd washer blade on several of my cars. It will not get removed with normal glass cleaner. Any suggestions as to how to clean this area? Thanks.

    Glazes vs. Sealants

Some questions concerning glazes. What are the advantages of a glaze vs. a sealant? Do they last as long as a sealant? If applied with a rotary, what speed[s] is recommended? Is a glaze applied at the same time as a sealnt, ie, wash, clay, polish, seal? Can you place a layer of carnuba over a...

    Couple of Questions

Mike, Thanks for the replies. I am working on a '01 Ferrari 550, a '08 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, and an '08 Viper ACR. The paint quality on the 550 is average-for a Ferrari. The car has 44'000 plus miles, was purchased new as were the other two, and has been garaged and covered in a conditioned...

    Couple of Questions

After using Pinnacle's Advanced Swirl Remover with a PC, is it necessary to use a polish before sealing/waxing, or can one skip the polish step? When polishing/waxing carbon fiber components, should the speeds of the PC be adjusted or should this work be done by hand? Also, should the carbon...

    Wheels

Low Tech-Agree, reducing the generation of brake dust is the optimum solution. I believe, however, this is a function of the type of pads used, rotors, how the car is driven, and the type of wheel/tire combo. The MPSC tires are very soft-probably close to a slick type tire you can also drive on...

Black paint - What's your fav combo?

Wash with Pinnacle Natural Brilliance, Menzerna Final Polish, Menzerna Full Metal Jacket, top with Souveran paste wax. Tried this last night and it worked great-wash with Pinnacle, Wolfgang Paint- work Polish Enhancer, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, and Souveran paste wax topper. Quick...

    Wheels

One big problem I have had is having to spend a lot of time cleaning the brake dust and rubber off wheels of a car after I have it on a track. This may be "old" info for a number of you, but I thought it would be a good idea to share a process I have worked out which makes this job considerably...

    Layering

A couple of questions about layering. Is it worthwhile regarding shine duration and appearance to layer sealants such as Klasse AIO etc? Same for carnubas such as Pinnacle Souvran etc. After using a quick detailer such as Pinnacle's Crystal Mist, does adding a "topper" of carnuba increase the...
