Small scratch on glass (inspection sticker)

Thanks. I tried Goo Gone on a qtip (can't reach it otherwise) . It didn't seem to remove it. I thought it was a weird direction to get a scratch as well. I will try some IPA

Small scratch on glass (inspection sticker)

We bought our car out of state. I was removing the state inspection sticker from the inside windshield. I used Goof Off, a hair dryer and a razor Looks like I may have left a 1/2" horizontal scratch. It's above where the VIN is and not noticeable unless looking for it. I'm surprised this...

    Scratched wheel

Found a scratch on my Escalade's black wheels. Griots Paint Correcting Cream didn't seem to help. It's tiny and there are 3 small "white marks." Is there a particular paint I can use? High gloss black Thank you

Raised "specks" in paint on a brand new Escalade

Hello. Have a '25 Escalade. I was doing the initial wash on it and noticed a pen tip sized dot on the drivers side door. Not sure if this is from a small rock or a defect in the paint. I hadn't noticed it before Thoughts ? Claying it did not remove it (no surprise). It *appears* to be raised...

    Graphic installation

Thank you Mike! Great pics. That’s the anniversary Trans Am if I remember correctly. My high school wet dream. I have decided to set up an appointment with a local sign company for the install. My truck is a raptor, the graphics were $700 and I don’t want to take the chance !

    Graphic installation

Hi Mike i have a 2020 Ford Raptor and I will be installing OEM bedside decals (as attached). 2 questions : 1. What should I use to prep the area to remove wax etc ? 2. These graphics are $650/pair and I’m really trying to ensure I do this right. Does a spray bottle with a soapy mix still...

Prepping surface for a decal install

My Raptor did not come with bedside “Raptor” graphics, and I’m considering putting some on. My truck only has wax (Chemical Brothers Hydra Slick). Is dawn soap and water sufficient to prep the surface ? I’m assuming isopropyl alcohol would be harmful to painted surfaces ? thank you ps: Any...

    Scratched glass question

Thank you for the replies. So I just need something confirmed. A local detailer I spoke with said my scratches could not be addressed. He said : “Once you can feel them with your finger, cerium oxide won’t help. You need to replace the glass.” He basically said that cerium oxide and rayan pads...

    Ceramic coating vs PPF

Thanks for the replies. What kind of costs can I expect from wrapping the bumper, hood and fenders ? Can I expect to see discrepancies in the paint (compared to what was not protected) once the film is removed down the road ?

    Ceramic coating vs PPF

I have a new Ford Raptor I will be using for mostly daily driving and infrequent (mild) off roading and I’d like to protect the paint. I’m hesitant to explore Modesta ceramic coatings, because I understand there is annual maintenance you must do with the installer ? So I found a local...

    Scratched glass question

I have 3 white scratches, in close proximity to each other, on my driver’s side window. I hadn’t noticed them until my windows were tinted. I own a Bauer 6” da and Griot’s 3” da. I am planning to use the Griot’s to try and buff them out. But had the following questions : - What speed should I...

    Removing buffing dust from steps

What’s a safe way to remove this? After using a DA buffer and Griot’s polish, I noticed white dust all over the steps of my truck. Tried removing it with Gold Class car wash and a microfiber towel, to no avail The steps are coated with a grip tape type finish
