Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Actually the dealership mentioned those arms cannot have their angle of contact adjusted, which I also find strange. They confirmed they adjusted only how far the wiper should reach to the A pillar. The springs on those wiper arms are so extremely tight that if I lift and accidentally drop on...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Just to report back after some months on anyone that might find the thread helpful. 1st step: Coating removed completely - no help, wipers were skipping like crazy again. That lead to only one reason - faulty design. A lot of threads in MB world forum with people complaining of skipping Benz...

    Tar on velour floor mats

Hey guys, Tried to find the best solution possible but most of the threads here were quite dated. So to the question - heatwaves, summer, sea and asphalt / tar on the shoes of the passenger ,which then transferred to the floor mat, and it being brown is kinda noticeable. The damage is not big...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Was thinking if that would be a solution, but I am a bit afraid to put anything else on a windshield ever again :) Just don't want to fix that issue and have the same happen due to a sealant. What do you think? Still - how would you apply , don't I need to remove the coating first or you mean...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Thanks Bruno! Hopefully I find a solution. Yep drizzle is manageable, I am fine with that, but I would much prefer what my Yaris had - intermittent wiper each 5 seconds or so. Can't believe a premium brand does not have this - just two rain sensors sensitivity and two constant speeds. Now in...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Guys, some updates. So I just threw the OEM wipers in the trash as we put another layer of coating on them and it didn’t help, even made things worse. So I was on a waste money spree I guess but I bought another pair of OEM wipers just to try how it would work without coating, I wasn’t able to...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Thanks Mike, so for side mirrors of new cars - no buff, but a wipe of PBL coating is fine?

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Hey Mike, one more thing I didn't actually ask about :D What about the two side view mirrors? I guess it's also nice to put something to repel water there and it's not gonna harm ?

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Thanks Mike! I truly believe it is wipers problem and not the way the glass was polished or the coating that was put. So my update is that we removed the graphite coating on the wipers completely with ethanol. Applied again G1 on the wipers, this time it seems like it was good, waited to dry...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Thanks Mike! Yep, the guy did all the polish with a machine and cleaned with G4 Glass cleaner before applying anything. It seems like it is a common issue with the stock wipers, looking at all MBworld threads with similar complaints I guess he is correct. But for now I don't want to get anything...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Guys and maybe especially to @Mike Phillips - issue is not going away :( I did a really nice wash recently , then we had a heavy rain that got us on the motorway. Yes, coating works nice to repel water, but in heavy weather conditions you still need the wipers. I can hear them chatter and skip...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Thanks Mike. I do experienced that when I got the car. The coating was also put on the wipers to avoid that rubber chatter, I will try it in the next days, but as I said - no issues with dry window , we'll see how it behaves in rain or when I change the wipers in 6-12 months. But I guess you...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Thanks guys, well what's done is done. Actually today I ran a few dry runs - no water or fluid on the windshield. Didn't hear anything else than the wipers motor, at the 6-7 run they started a bit of chatter, but I guess that would be no normal for perfectly dry windshield. We'll see at next...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Thanks, yep, I will try to give it some time. Car was actually ready last Thursday, so that's around 4 days with applied coating , sitting , waiting for me. Will give it a chance till next rain. The detailer said that Bosch in general are bad due to some special coating they have on them...

Windshield coating - skipping wipers (new car)

Hi guys, Been here for a while educating myself, just got a brand new GLC Coupe and decided to give it the protection it deserves to keep it shiny and new as long as possible. So I went to a reputable detailer and we agreed to put coatings on almost any surface. I wouldn't spam with the complete...

Outdoor faucet or adapter for indoor sink for power washer

Thanks for all the replies, I guess exactly Y hose mixer is what I am looking for. Hope that works well enough. Sorry @spazzz , but maybe I couldn't understand you if you are for or against those mixers. :D Anyway I will make cold & hot spigots, even if I don't use the hot water spigot I don't...

Iron X effect on brake callipers - newbie question

I usually try to never leave any thread that I started open, so that others who might have the same questions find out what happened eventually. What happened - actually nothing :) It is all good! No discolouring on brake callipers and it's the second time I am using IronX on those wheels...

Outdoor faucet or adapter for indoor sink for power washer

Thank you, guys! The sink in the garage is just a standard one to wash your hands, cold & hot water faucet and sprout with aerator , that’s it. And it’s at the back so it would also be a hassle to run a hose through the whole garage. I also think that Brian has a point on the pressure. I...

Outdoor faucet or adapter for indoor sink for power washer

Hi guys, I tried to search through the threads here, but wasn't able to find answer to my questions. So ... we are in the process of renovating the garage and some of the front facade, and of course I would like to have an easy access to water for rinsing and foam cannon. Where I live it can...
