    Failing clear

I usually don’t deal with any type of clear coat failure, but my father’s best friend would like a presale detail done on his Chevy SSR, and it has a small amount of clear failing. I would like to try and hide it so he can take it to a local Carmax to sell it, but I have never attempted this...

I would have liked to test it, but I sold that Tahoe. It does sound impressive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Washing and Paint Correction on Truck/SUV roofs

Gorilla platforms are great with an extendable pole wash mitt. I grabbed 2 last time they were on sale for at a local big box home store. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can’t get these stripes off my tires - help please!

Go ride, drag some knees and it will be gone quickly. Don’t leave chicken strips on those edges! Have fun and be safe riding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good store to buy car battery

Only thing I would recommend is an AGM battery due to electronics, lift gate, and if you have actuated running boards. You don’t have to buy the highest end ones. A trickle charger does wonders to the life of a battery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rim and tire Cleaner

+1 for Brakebuster at full strength. After tires are coated I just use the car shampoo and a softer brush for maintenance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Duraslic 1500 Xtreme

Just applied last weekend. Wipe on, wipe off. Was very easy. I would say an 8 out of 10 on ease of use scale (10 would be something like armor shield 9). A little grabby on the second wipe. I had zero high spots. Flash time was around 30-45 secs. It is not a slick coating at all. I...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Put the coating on the Tahoe today. I was too worn out yesterday after beer to do anything else. Coated all paint, trim, lights, and wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Paint correction is done on the Tahoe. Just need to wipe a couple spots down, and then putting the coating on later after I take a break with a couple beers. This is the wife’s daily driver so just a good one step that pulled 90+% of the defects out. Rupes tools, blue coarse compound, and...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I’m coating the Tahoe this weekend so today I knocked out the engine bay, wheels, did a strip wash, and dried it. Hyper Dressing (4/1) on the bay, Brake Buster for wheels, and Adams Strip Wash. Very light swirls and love marks to take care of tomorrow so probably just a 1 step then Duraslic...

Help:. Rock chips with sharp edges.

Insurance will not cover rock chips unless it was something like a dump truck dropping its load on interstate and you ate the brunt of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stools

Just an fyi. If you need a soft seat that’s removable you can always get a foam gardening pad. No wheels, but it is comfortable and cheap ($10). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Koch Chemie GSF Corrosive?

Probably this: Ide imagine leaving undiluted gsf on some materials would cause some kind of corrosion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stools

I’ve got 2 of the gorilla platform ladders for suv roof work. I highly recommend those. I was looking into stools with backrests, but I’m going to give this one a run. The one that caught my eye was $309 so I may give that a try later on unless someone chimes in with a great stool that is...

    Stools

So I’m a typical guy and have been content using an old step tool that my kids have used throughout the years to sit on while polishing doors and lower areas. The wife ordered me a pneumatic stool for Fathers Day, and I happened to be home for lunch when it was dropped off. It’s now an early...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Plenty of other roads to ride/drive around TN, NC, and SC. Used to ride my old R6 and R1 around a lot there when I lived in Greenville SC. The Dragon is fun and all, but usually more people on it than desired. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
