    Graphene Coating Attracting Dust Issues?

I agree about waxing over ceramic, but my suggestion was to move the customer on with minimal effort. I don't see how wax over ceramic would have less protection than ceramic alone. I've never heard of leaving Collinite inside for 2-3 days. I always thought 24 hrs before water/soap exposure was...

    Graphene Coating Attracting Dust Issues?

A couple of weeks a go I speed clayed and coated 2 of my cars with with one of the Flex able Wax graphene sprays. Though not exactly the same as the coatings like yours, I do feel like it attracted dust at least until the first rain or wash. I am wondering why you didn't just top coat it with...

    Wax pen on glass

Hey Mike/guys, I buy and rebuild a totaled car or two every year. When these cars go to the auctions, they are marked with wax pens or paint sticks on the windshields and sometimes the side glass. I usually just scrape it off with a razor blade and then wipe it down with lacquer thinner and...

    Tire dressing--not too shiny

My choice also, but it's not too durable. Really dry tires require two coats.

    No. 7 Carwash

I see that they still sell this stuff. I remember my dad using it in the 70's. Does it still have a place in modern carwashing/detailing?

Littel trick that worked for me today

I've had great luck using Rain-X and a microfiber to remove sap quickly. For whatever reason, It works much better than straight alcohol and is the fastest easiest method I've found on sap.

    Urine Smell

After playing with the car, I'm sure the pee, and lots of it, was from a small non-shedding dog (there was no hair). We wound up pulling the seats and carpet and pressure washing them. It's unbelievable what came out of them in places. The worst was the rear seat bottom and driver's rear floor...

    Urine Smell

Thank you for the replies. The vinegar will be rinsed away by pressure washing. Some say you need a baking soda rinse to neutralize the acid. I did a cover this way once on a seat cover that smelled like poop, and was happy with the results. I have read good things about natures miracle. I guess...

    Urine Smell

Here's the story. My brother wanted a newer car, and we're not scared of a little work. I found him a totaled 2012 Chevy Cruze Eco with 18,000 miles for $4000 located at an auction 650 miles from here. It's a perfect project, hit high in the front end, has low miles, and other than the accident...

    Radio Button Repair

Thanks Bob. Luke from Lindsay is actually active on Cadillacforums.com, so I have heard about them. The buttons were available, and I ordered them this morning along with 3 spares for the high wear buttons. Do you know of any way to make these buttons last longer. I'm already careful not to hit...

    Radio Button Repair

I found the company IW Graphics, but they seem to be out of business. In any case here is a video I did send a message on youtube. We'll see if I get a reply.

    Radio Button Repair

Yes they are replaceable. There are 13 buttons that cost about $8/ea. It's just such a crappy material, I was hoping to make them more durable. I was hoping to just re-laminate them. It's kinda shocking to me that this is an issue with Porsche also. I also just think of it as typical GM...

    Radio Button Repair

Does anyone know where to buy kits to repair the appearance of radio buttons (mostly GM). The buttons on my '05 CTS-V look like crap. The black laminate is peeling revealing the white plastic underneath. I know there are laminate kits to repair this, but I can't find them online anymore. Any...

    Clear Coat refresher...

Clear coat is nothing more than clear paint. The question you should be asking is does the car need paint? If the underlying color is not faded, it is possible to wetsand with 1000 grit and re-clear the car, but any chips or scratches that can catch your finger nail likely can't be wetsanded out...

    Applying "Hard" Waxes

I found apply with bare hands to be fast and easy while using a minimal amount of product. The little bit of heat in my hands melted Collinite 476 easily. It took about 20 minutes to wax my F-150 one panel at a time.bare hands

Detailing a boat need some help!

I typed a nice long reply, but it seemed liked the site timed out before I tried to post, and my reply got lost. Anyhow, try your plans above. If it doesn't last long enough, you may need to go with an acylic sealant. It's a coating that may need to be stripped if it yellows or peels and lasts...
