well decided to go ahead and detail my camaro today but unfortunately ran out of time and forgot my good camera to take pictures....

but anyways long story short I decided I would practice using rotary on the roof and no where else because if i get holograms, which i did i figured could be fixed with a DA

I washed the car, and prepped it paint was in pretty good shape, used ultimate polish with polishing pad and finishing pad then sealed it with meguiars gold class.

btw I am having a hard time getting the rims to take a good shine...I figured polishing and waxing them since they are painted would work but no such luck

Looks good so far! You said you've got holograms from your rotary though?

As for the wheels did you buy them already black or did you have the paint applied after you got them? If the black is powder-coated that could be why you're not having a lot of luck with mild polishing.

yeah I think I do...I mean they are almost impossible to see in the shade but if light hits it right i think its what I am seeing....

I thought using that polish and polishing pad would not be that aggressive to do that....I mean you can tell i got rid of maybe 60% of the cobweb swirl things, and some scratches lightened up

I was thinking of 105 on polishing pad followed by 205 but I was just practicing real quick did not want to mess things up and figured of need be you could fix it for me since you know what you are doing

As for the wheels they were already black when they were put on the car

ok i have come to the conclusion I suck at taking pictures, and michigan weather does not help with cooperating as well, everything was done by hand except for the roof which was done by rotary. I still have to clean all the glass, the interior, and engine bay and will post those when done

closes ups trying to look for swirls in direct sunlight and hoping flash would make them appear

here i moved it into garage hoping overhead lighting might work better than trying to wait for clouds to clear out
