Good afternoon!

My wife's girlfriend was in town so I decided to detail her car this morning after I finished my wife's SUV. Why not right?

The XC90 has only been washed at carwashes since new, but surprisingly no swirls! Gotta love that silver metallic paint. There was quite a bit of hardened tar on the lower half of the vehicle, so some claying was needed there. Frankly, the entire SUV needed claying but I didn't want to spend that much time on it.

1) Wash w/ Megs Gold Class
2) Clayed lower half of XC90 w/ Zaino Z16
3) Dried w/ Absorber
4) Waxed w/ Natty's Blue on Megs Foam Applicator
5) Leather cleaned w/ Woollite (cut 1:1)
6) Armor All Gel on the Tires
7) All carpets cleaned w/ Folex (not cut)

My favorite product today was Poorboys Natural Look. I love this stuff. The XC90 has a lot of plastic on the exterior and the Natural Look really brought back the factory look. Great stuff and non-oily!

Sorry, no befores. Just afters!

Who says you cannot get reflection off silver paint???

:righton:

Great Job! Light silver is almost as hard as white to get good refections on.

Really nice job on this one. I saw the pics and scanned back up to see what you used on the exterior trim. I can see why you said the PB Natural Look was your favorite product, it looks so good!

Thanks!

What I've actually been doing is after I put Armor All Gel on the tires, I top them with Natural Look and it really makes a BIG difference! Lasts forever, too.

I recommend everyone who has NL to give it a try next time they dress their tires...

Very nice job, and great reflections! Nice work on the trim with PB Natural Look. I love it too, but only use it in the interior. Somehow, it doesn't do too well with my Explorer exterior trim.
Thanks for the PB NL tire tip!!

wow...okay not only can you detail buddy but dude you take really nice pictures. That silver is looking very reflective wow very nice. I'm making a note of what you use because that vehicle looks really good.

Not only am I impressed with the results of the paint but the pictures, very nice.

Thanks for sharing that silver looks really good.

Alban: I use PB NL on my wife's Explorer and it always comes out nice. I wonder why it doesn't work well on yours? I find that a little goes a long way!

Nica: I really appreciate the comments! The vehicle was not polishes and not sealed, so I bet I could have made it look much better had I had the time! I guess Natty's Blue is pretty decent on its own on silver...

It only seems to last about 4 -5 days for me. And it streaked when it rained. Only thing so far that has worked for me, is Armor-All, and DG 201 (Vinyl/Leather Dressing). I have DG 201 on right now, and has lasted for 1 week, and 1 rain with no streaking. It's going to rain again tomorrow, so we'll see how it holds up again. I have a "99 Explorer. Bought it used and the trim was faded somewhat. I'm sure your wife's Explorer is in much better shape than mine, that's why it worked better for you. I had even tried PB Bold n Bright, but it still streaked for me when it rained. But I do love what PB NL does to the interior.

P1et, man the paint looks awesome, and only waxed with Natty's Blue WOW! I got agree with everybody your PICS is high grade. I wish I could take pics like that. Thanks for posting.

Clean your trim with a magic eraser and weak APC (simple green 5:1 or DG #401 10:1) then put your dressing on. IMO that will take care of the streaking.

Thanks Sparkie, I really appreciate it coming from you!!!

I love Natty's Blue. So easy to use and smells great. Easy on, easy off, just like it says on the tub!

I applied it in full 90 degree weather with the sun just baking it on. I was worried it would be harder to take off, but it was a BREEZE!

I haven't used my #16 yet, but I'll be very surprised if it's better than Natty's Blue...
