Hi all
This is basically our first Paint Correction job.
This client owns a 2009 Maserati Granturismo Dark Metallic Blue. He called us about a month ago, searching for someone who knows how to care for his car.
Paint had some minor swirls from regular washing. He wanted it polished to remove the swirls and maintained every two weeks. Needless to say, it came out "fantastic", his words.

Wash:Foam bath using AM Wash/Wax+Lambs wool mitt
Clay: Meguiar's Mild Clay/Last Touch
Compound: Meguiar's D300/MF Compounding Pads
Polish/Wax: Meguiar's D301/MF Finishing Pads
Used our PCXP with the 5in Megs backing plate.

We removed about 90% of the swirls, I was amazed how well the MF/DA works. After emailing Nick from Nick's Custom Detailing about how to handle the Maserati's paint, we put took his advice and the D300 worked wonders. The paint was very easy to correct.

I was happy with the results. Now we are going to maintain the finish every two weeks, Crazy Excited!!

Side note: My Lambs wool mitt which I bought from a local Advanced Auto, started loosing all its fibers after I used it once. It said it was real Lambs wool, smelled like it too :(
Has that happened to anyone before?

nice job. The mitts usually shed now the smell I dont know. I really love the mf system too :) I did a FULL CORRECTION including wetsanding (which the mf system removed 2000 grit marks and 1500 which was a bit tougher. I used m105 instead of d300 though and followed that up with a white lc ccs pad and menz SIP which finished down awesome. The final shots will be up in a few days i just have to throw a sealant on it let it cure and throw some wax :) But again, great job !
