this brand new 2016 Shelby GT350 came in after a 1000+ mile trip on the back of an open transport truck. the car only had 12 miles on it when it showed up, but it had 1000's of miles of road grime.

2 bucket foam wash with 3d Pink soap, it took 3 or 4 tries to get all for the dirt and grime out of the gaps.

after washing, the vehicle was clay'd and wiped with solvent to get all of the stuck on contamination
paint was polished with Sonax Ex 04-06 using Rupes 21 and 75e,
then tint was installed all the way around, the front end was wrapped with Xpel clear bra (full front end, no lines in the middle of panels)
glass, paint and clear bra were ceramic coated, the tires were also coated.

Don't worry, I cleaned the front lip before the car was delivered.

Great work.

But it's pathetic that the transport company thinks that much about a car that cost that much money to transport it that way. They could take a lesson from Audi as far as car transportation goes. Another reason to have a high quality LED flashlight and go over every square inch of the vehicle before signing the paper work and taking a new car off the lot.

That's a nice before and after shot. Great work Matt!

unfortunately vehicle transport gets tricky when doing dealer transfers. we always recommend enclosed transport, but I had customer wait 3 weeks before an enclosed transport truck was available to pick up his car.

Amazing work on the car. The blue simply glows!

It doesn't have anything to do with the transport company. If the owner/customer/dealership hires the cheapest transport they can get, they'll end up with an open trailer. If the car was already prepped on the dealer lot prior to transport all of the protective materials (if Ford uses any at all) will have already been opened.

A few weeks ago while traveling for business, I came across an open vehicle transport with 2~3 Porsche 911's, 2 Porsche 911 GT3's, and a Ferrari 458 hanging off the back for good measure. All of them completely exposed. I'm quite certain that shipping method is not recommended by the parent companies, but dealerships don't really care.
