this is an all original 1948 Chrysler Windsor that was in a barn for 14 years. i was contacted by the owner to see if i could restore the paint. he asked me a million questions, but in the end saw that i knew what i was talking about and doing. the car will be coming to the garage on Thursday to get it ready for a car show. He has already placed 2nd and 3rd in the preservation class, and he wants a 1st place so he is bring the car to us. Lets see what we are working with.

i want to thank Mike for giving me the training i needed to make this happen. there is no doubt in my mind that we will bring the Chrysler back to life :buffing:

That's awesome Vargas! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Armed with proper knowledge I know you will transform that sedan.

BTW, those Silverado's look they could use some love as well...

Awesome! :dblthumb2:

I got goosebumps when I saw that. What an opportunity mate & I'm sure you'll do it justice. Excited for this turn around. :xyxthumbs:

Enjoy!

i cant wait for it either.

Yes those silverado's do need some love as well. The black one is getting done on Wednesday the white no so much. Its a work truck and spends its days on lease roads so it stays dirty.

I'd love to work on a vehicle that didn't require taping ... I hate taping.

Looking forward to the after shots.

Awesome project, it's nice to see someone keeping one of these thats not Town & Country. Is their plan to leave the paint 100% original or spot in where the paint is flaking?

I can't wait to see the after shots.

He wants to leave it 100% original, he doesn't want to paint it over. Wait till you see the interior its in great shape also all original

Could you give some examples of the questions?

How long i have been doing this
Do i have insurance
Have i worked on a car like this before
How long will it take
What is the upkeep afterwards
When can i get started

Im no expert on stuff like this, however, I would try show car glaze (number 7) by meguiars to restore the gloss to the paint. Then you can see what you are working with.

Thanks for the response.

no problem, he was very curious about the whole process

Good get! Congratulations. :props:

thanks, i cant wait to get started
