1965 Ford F100 Extreme Makeover - Detailing Class Truck

Here's the first confirmed truck for the first Detailing Boot Camp Class for 2014.

These classes always fill up and the class in May and September fill up the fastest, so if you want to attend one of these classes in the future remember, they are only held three times a year and at the same time each year.

Holograms
The hood has been recently buffed using a rotary buffer with a wool pad so we'll need to remove the holograms.

Need to remove the swirls and then restore the full richness of color...

You can't tell from these pictures but this is a single stage paint job and except for the hood that was recently wheeled, the rest of the truck is rough like concrete and dull with oxidation.

Good to see a titanium filled white paint for the students to learn from or is BC-CC and will it matter?

The paint color is creme but I did a little hand polishing to determine if the paint was single stage or basecoat/clearcoat and what I found out was that it's single stage AND at least from my little hand polished test spot the paint appears to be very hard.

That's okay thought because I'm pretty good with single stage white paints and their cousins. I have a few tricks up my sleeve...

This may end up being our rotary buffer training class and a wool pad will show this paint whose boss real fast...
