1966 23' Formula 233 Center Console Boat - Ceramic Coating Class

I already told my wife that when I retire( 1 year ,1 month) that a trip to Florida, for Mike’s class is a must. I need to learn first hand how to work on my Cobalt bow rider n pontoon boat the correct way. A lot depends on Covid as my team is heavily involved on vaccine work ( thus I would stick around as long as it takes to a product manufactured). Stay safe.

Click the link below, it's actually a video but you have to click the arrow on the right hand side of the image to get to the video.

The video shows how CLEAR the 3D coating made the results after a 2-step machine sanding, 1 rotary step cutting and 1 orbital step polishing the gel-coat. It looks like we sprayed the gelcoat with a layer of clear paint.

For you boat aficionados - if the Pilot House catches your eye? This was custom build and you normally don't see this feature and this size of a Pilot House on a 23' Center Console.

It's a LOT harder to show before and after differences on LIGHT colored boats and this video demonstrates this difficulty BUT you can see the difference. This is also the reason I ONLY bring in dark colored boats for my boat detailing classes. It's important to ME that each student has a GREAT experience and part of the experience is SEEING the before and after difference from all their hard work and light colored boats just don't work for this teaching style.

Because I know a lot of LURKERS read this forum searching for information. IF this describes you and somehow you found this thread searching for information on a BOAT DETAILING class. Here's a thread I created that photo-documents all the boats we've used for classes over the last 7 years. There are no other threads like this nor any other website with this volume of photo-documentation of actual boats detailed by actual people. So choose wisely when choosing a boat class to attend.

These are on-you-feet, hands-on detailing classes.

If you don't workout at a gym then a month before the boat class I strongly recommend you start doing Push-Ups. You need a LOT of upper body strength to buff out a boat.
