1966 AC 427 Cobra - Detailed by Ed Dedick - American Muscle Car Museum

My friend Ed Dedick just sent me these pictures of him machine polishing a 1966 AC Cobra to prep it for this weekend's Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

Ed and his co-worker Jerry both attended our February Competition Ready 3-day Detailing Class and it was an honor to have two guys so dedicated and passionate about perfecting classic muscles at the American Muscle Car Museum in the class.

Here's the car as Ed methodically works his way around it...

Nice car and shop. What is that a bottle of? Looks like 303 but can't really tell.

Yes it's some 303 product. We carry the traditional 303 vinyl products as I showcase them in all my classes and sales are strong for this category and their brand.

I'm not sure what he's using though.

I know we used Gtechniq C1 and EXO in the recent class and that's what he's installing on the Cobra.

I didn't realize those cars are so rare. I see them pretty regularly around Elkhart Lake (Road America) every summer. And yes, the real deals. One of my favorite cars of all time.

Beautiful!
Your shop is very impressive as well.

My colorblind eyes are tricking me. Is the paint black or dark blue?

Very awesome work on an American classic.
