This low mileage '70 BOSS 302 Mustang belongs to a good client of mine and the vehicle was in for a pre-sale paint correction. (Running it at Mecum this weekend)

Process:

Wash - ONR
Paint Prep - Nanos Skin Towel and Glide as lube
Paint Correction - Griot's Fast Correct Compound on the G21 with BOSS MF pads followed by their Finishing Sealant on the G15 with yellow BOSS pads
Glass - Megs D120
Chrome - Mothers Chrome Polish
TOGW - Detail brush and patience

Swirls

50/50

Wax in stripes "TOGW"

TOGW removed

Other side TOGW

Removed

Of course it was only fitting that I use the BOSS system on the BOSS! :D

Finished pics

This color changed a lot with the lighting

Quite a magnificent car. Would hate to even ask the asking price. Beautiful work as well, bet it was fun.

Thanks everyone! :)

I like them a lot and they've now become my go to products. My only gripe would be the wipe off, which occasionally can require more effort then I'd like. It seems to vary by paint type and I find it's usually the softer paints that require more effort to remove. Either way I like of they cut and finish and the lack of dust is worth the added effort occasionally required on the wipe-off for me.

I think he was estimating between $60-70k. should be on NBCS this Saturday after the Xfinity race. ;)

I see you used fast correcting cream with mf pad was the paint that bad or really hard ?

Yes, paint was VERY hard and there were lots of left over sanding marks and deep buffer swirls from the body shop when it was repainted several years ago.

Nice Car.

I have been to Mecum ( and Barrett Jackson) auctions many times in Kissimmee and am always amazed at how poorly the cars are presented. This is a smart owner to get his car perfected prior to offering it for sale.
