Plus, the Buick 455 was considerably lighter than a Chevy or Olds big-block. I have a buddy in Orlando with a 455 Buick in a '37 Chev. When we visit on vacation, I've done a bunch of work on it over the years. It's funny to talk with some of the 60-somethings at a car cruise. Many have a story about 442's, big-block Chevelles, GTO's etc getting embarrassed on the streets in the 70's by a conservative-looking BUICK!Just for those of you NOT in the know about the 1970 Buick GS stage I (Sans Badger)....FIVE HUNDRED AND TEN POUNDS FOOT OF TORQUE @2800 rpm ==============
...that said, the GT500 vs. a stock 72' GS...total destruction ======
