Here is a little show of my dad's 1970 Corvette that I did last week. I only had the time to work on the paint, and it actually wasn't even washed, so the rest of the car still needs a little tlc to get it to proper standards.

I only had four hours to spend that day, so I concentrated on the hood and trunk area with Menzerna SIP on an LC orange low profile pad. Then I did the entire car with Micro Polish on a white LC pad. I'll go back to finish the sides more, but it looks 100% better. I finished it up with XMT Glaze and then a coat of Nattys Blue.

The paint really was pretty easy to work with. I thought it might be single stage, but it was a clear coat finish. It looked pretty bad up close, but didn't take too much effort to get rid of the swirls. It still has quite a bit of random scratches, but considering my dad won't be ocd about caring for it, it wouldn't be worth going that far anyway.

And the afters. The pics aren't the best since it was pretty late and not much sun left.

Look great Grimm! My older brother has a 72 couple. One of my neighbors has a 68 ragtop.

Love that color!!! Nice work! :applause:

Good job Grimm, is that the original paint?

Man if ur dad isn't gonna be OCD bout taking care of that car, you might wanna knock him over the head and take it from him... that car is sweett!! enough to give me a tooth ache

Very nice, I like the 50/50. The vehicle it self is nice, like the curves and waves it has. Can't beat the old school :D

Haha, I wish I had the room! You should see the black Model A that is peaking out inside the garage in the one shot. It's 30 year old black laquer, so because of it's age and the years of less than careful washings it almost looks like it was wet sanded and never polished. I did a spot on the hood and it looked worlds better.

Oh man I love old school Vettes!! I love that 50/50 shot :). Nice work!

Spectacular looking car! The 50/50 shot is impressive. The whole car is impressive looking. I also like the looks of the log home in the background. Way cool car!

I'm a big fan of those vettes too. I detailed one a couple weeks ago that was in rough shape. Most fun I've had in months, came out looking great and the customer was very happy with it. That one looks to be in great shape, very nice work and pictures.

Great looking classic, one of the best looking vettes of all times imo

By the way, this car is for sale. $29K. Contact me for more info.
