Again... this is just after wool. No polish
IMG_3724.jpg

Both sides done. Car has a lot of chips
IMG_3725.jpg

There were a few areas that needed wetsanding (because of bird-dropping etching). However, since i didn't have any paper those will have to wait for another day
Ew.
IMG_3728.jpg

Now, that's better
IMG_3730.jpg

This car happens to have single stage paint. It also happens to have a lot of trim work all over the car which prohibited me from using a rotary on most of it (because I don't have small enough pads for the 9227)
Hood, Roof, Trunk, A-Pillars
Tape-off with 3M green
W-4000 Meguiars Woolie, Meguiars #85 Diamond Cut Compound 2.0 1500-2100 RPM
Lake Country CCS White Pad, Menzerna Intensive Polish 1500-2100 RPM
3M Ultrafina Blue Pad, 3m Ultrafina Polish, 1200-1800 RPM
Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax
IMG_3729.jpg

Rest of the vehicle
Pinnacle XMT#3 with PC7424 (lots of pressure) on Lake Country CCS Orange pad at speed 6 (6,000 OPM)
Menzerna Final Polish on Grey Lake Country CCS pad at speed 5
Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax

Tires dressed with Meguiars Endurance Tire Shine
Liners and Trim with Meguiars Trim Detailer Cleaner and Protectant
Windows with Stoner Invisible Glass
Wizards Black Renew on rear spoiler
Enjoy....I get some pictures in the sun tomorrow

Awesome! I love those c900s, and I still swear that single stage and 2 stage paints look better than alot of clear coated ones.

Money shot here!!!

Matts after. Drivers Matt was cleaned twice and didn't show much improvement. It's showing some age and might be time for a new one in the next year or so

Done on this car for the weekend.

Your work on the car, and Paint correction = Great

The car itself = I'm not a fan.

Good job.

Nice results!

I love those pre-'95, pre-GM 900 Turbos, especially the convertibles. Kept my eye open for a well-preserved, low-mileage '94 convertible for years to no avail. Stumbled across a '97 that was sweet and had to take the plunge.

Saab.jpg

Compared to the '94 and earlier Saabs it was the biggest piece of crap I ever owned. Heavy gauge sheetmetal replaced by tin that dented if you sneezed on it. Thick paint replaced by paper-thin, orange-peel ridden junk. And the legendary reliability suffered as well. General Motors was the worst thing to ever happen to Saab Scania, IMO.

TL <---- still got an eye out for that '94

The car that I detailed has JUST 61k on the clock. I would say that he'd sell for the right price but I'm not so sure now that his car is damn near perfect...

Oh, here's something to think about

Think I'll pass. It'd be too time consuming to whack that hardtop off with a can opener :D Plus I've owned my last black vehicle.
