Todays detail is a 1994 Mercedes E320 convertible. The car was in pretty good shape with for a 1994 26,000 on the odo but did have its fair share of swirling. This was my first work on a Mercedes and I will have to break out the more aggresive polishes the next time. The clear on this baby was hard as a rock and even with the UDM I had a hard time with it.

I think its time to learn how to use my rotary.

Total Time: 6 hours

Process:

Wash with NXT wash soap and P21S via foam gun with Schmitt
Clay with Megs white clay
Polish with UDM and Sonus orange pad with Megs #80
Polish with PC and LC 4 inch orange pad for spot correction
LSP Wax with Megs #26
Interior cleaned with Woolite 6:1 and dressed with 4 Star Leather conditioner
Interior trim dressed with Sonus Total Eclipse
Carpets cleaned with Folex
Engine dressed with Stoners Trim Shine
Wheels cleaned with Megs All Purpose Wheel Cleaner
Tires dressed with Eagle One Wet Tire Shine
Wheel wells cleaned with Simple Green 10:1 and dressed with Street Appeal Tire Dressing
Glass cleaned with NXT Glass Cleaner

Nice job....

Al

Very nice, I like the way the interior looks...good job.

Just wondering, you said you found the clear to be hard on this 1994 Mercedes? Interesting, the reason I ask is becuase I have one coming my way...not like this one but the same year.

Another question...you said

you added P21S Total Autowash to the foam gun? Is this right? How did it work? Just wondering.

Yes...I put a small amount in with the NXT. It helped clean up alot of the accumulated crud from the finish.

Fine job on that Mercedes. Did you do anything to the convertible top?

I just went over it with a vac and a stiff interior brush...

Great work, Pat. Car looks great and that interior is sweet. I like those thick stripes you put on the floormats.

That interior looks like new, and the car is 13 years old..wow

Not to mention the look of the car....

That red looks like it just came out of a red gloss factory...The inside looks brand new. You do some nice work as always...:applause:
