This is a 1996 Porsche Carrera 4 that I did today with only 41,000 on the clock. The car was in pretty decent shape I thought until I washed the dust off and saw the amount of swirls. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to tackle them but Megs #80 and a Sonus Orange Pad came through like a dream. It was a pleasure to work in this garage. The owner has a drain and running hot water. Washing a car with warm water is a great. Overall time was about 7 hours.
Wash with NXT Soap
Wheels cleaned with Sonus Rim Bright
Tires dressed with Optimum Tire Shine
Megs #80 via PC with Sonus Orange Pad
Megs NXT via LC white pad x 2
Interior cleaned with Woolite and Water 6:1
Interior trim dressed with Sonus Total Eclipse
Engine cleaned and dressed with a combination of No Touch Tire Foam and Stoners Trim Shine
Glass cleaned with NXT Glass Cleaner
The wheels are going to need some more work. Maybe Anthony Orozco can chime in on what to use on them. They are not in the best of shape and I tired to clean them up with NXT Metal Polish. It cleaned them up some but they are going to need some more work. I might have to bring over my Mothers Powerball with some other metal polishes. I might end up trying some 0000 steel wool with Wenol.
Befores:
Afters:
The garage lighting was not the best but I tried playing with the flash to get the best pics.
I have to do a 2001 Fly Yellow Ferrari Maranello next weekend for the client. After that I have several other cars to do including this:
2005 Porsche Carrera GT
