This is a '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The hood was in pretty bad shape so I decided to snap some pics. I'm not really sure what corrected it since I tested a number of things on it. It seemed like one combination would fix one part but not another. This is a family members vehicle, bought new so I know it was never in an accident or repainted. :dunno:
Everything done w/ the Flex 3401 & 5.5" pads
Started testing w/
1. XMT360 on orange LC flat - No noticeable results. This is the first time 360 has failed me.
2. Next was Megs D300 on CG's mf cutting pad - some improvement. Topped w/ Megs D301 on CG's mf finishing pad.
It looked ok but I wanted to see if I could get it better since I'm not sure of the aggressiveness of D300 or if not using the Megs mf pads was making a difference. (I have them but I didn't feel like getting out the PC.)
3. Next I went w/ M105 on LC orange flat pad followed by M205 on white LC CCS. - More improvement and looked good. But as I progressed, it seemed like the 105 would work better on some spots, if not I would have to switch back to the 300.
Some areas really weren't cooperating, so I brought out the XMT #4 w/ a white LC CCS. Followed up w/ D301 over the entire hood. Finished up w/ XMT 180.
The glare was so bright from the sun I could't even see what I was taking a picture of.
The rest of it went fine using XMT360 & topped w/ XMT180.
Also did the headlights for fun.
