Hello all,

Finished my first detail on my new 2010 Toyota Corolla, "black sand pearl"

washed
clayed with pinnacle kit
polished with Wolfgang twins, using PC with 5.5 LC pads, orange & white.
Finished with WGDGPS, 2 coats, 2 days apart, rewash in between.
used microfiber cloths in all stages
DP wheel cleaner kit with glaze
OPT tire gel

I got pretty comfortable using the PC and the Wolfgang twins. They are very easy to use. I did go through 5 orange and 5 white pads. Used DP pad rejuvy after all done, came pretty clean.

I let the WGDGPS cure about an hour each time I applied before I removed.

Thinking of trying some Fusion next.

I tried to take some good pictures, here goes.

Good job looks great for a first time!! Only thing is the changing 5 pads of each? Did the car need alot of work? Did you not clean them? Only reason im saying and not that its not normal to do specially if you just pulled them for time issue.. or Is it that maybe your over using product?

Looks great. I use wgdgs on my wifes car and i will let it cure overnight. Can't go

wrong with Fusion either. :dblthumb2:

Hello all,

Great looking first detail. I've never used the twins, as I have go-to favorites to use.

Always a good idea to work clean, especially on a dark finish.

Thanks for the feedback,

The car did have swirls, not terribly bad. I did not clean them on the fly. I changed pads after a couple panels, they had gotten dirty and were rotating slower. I ordered that many so I could do this without cleaning on the fly. I might also have used too much product, not sure. I was going by Mike's video's that I watched and used that as a guide.

I will try less product next time.

Thanks,
Larry

Thanks to all that looked and commented, very much appreciated. :xyxthumbs:

I think 5 would sound about right for the number of pads. I have 3 of each, and i think 4 or 5 would be the right amount of pad to use on sedans and larger vehicles.

OP, looks great!
