Well I recently picked up some leather seats and I've been reading for 3 days straight on leather care. I now understand unfinished vs finished leather. So I've been looking for a water based protectant, I stumbled across 1Z Lederflege which is geared towards finished leather. I noticed it uses natural wax in it's ingredient.
What my plan is to use Lederflege to clean and leave some protectant and top it with OPP.
Will the natural wax in 1Z stop or hinder OPP from penetrating the leather?
One of the reasons I want to use OPP on top off 1Z is the UV protection it offers.

As I remember the Einszett product also has UV protection ...

If it does it doesn't mention it on there website nor AG's.

Look at your owners manual. For my SAAB it specifically says do not use a leather conditioner that contains wax.

Don't have one for these seats, they came from a different year mustang. I'm searching the web now for any type of info on these seats.
Found the owners manual online doesn't say not to use wax type conditioners.
2003 Cobra manufacture seat cleaning info said:
LEATHER SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)
Your leather seating surfaces have a clear, protective
coating over the leather.
• To clean, use a soft cloth with Motorcraft Deluxe
Leather and Vinyl Cleaner (ZC-11–A). Dry the
area with a soft cloth.
• To help maintain its resiliency and color, use the
Motorcraft Deluxe Leather Care Kit (ZC-11–D),
available from your authorized dealer.
• Do not use household cleaning products, alcohol
solutions, solvents or cleaners intended for
rubber, vinyl and plastics, or oil/petroleum-based
leather conditioners. These products may cause
premature wearing of the clear, protective
coating.

Leather Masters trio is the best leather product out there...wonder why AG still doesn't carry it???
remember, with ANY other conditioners/protectants you use, your leather will "sqeek"...out of 6 cars in family (previous and current) 5 of them have leather interior...believe me, I know what I'm talking about, that's how I found AG in a first place, been in a search for best leather conditioner...
Second best is Pinnacle...little more gloss, great conditioning, but it sqeeks, and that DOES bother me...

I'm picking up Leather Masters Leather Vital and Strong Cleaner (might pick up Swissvax leather brush too). I'm going to use LM every 6 months and Optimums leather protectant probably once a week.

I thought they did till I looked, turned out to be Leatherique.

Why don't you clean the leather and then top it with 303 Aerospace? 303 works on leather and will give it good UV protection.

These days, I am using Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner Spray and I've been getting good results. The seats come out very shiny, but I can just buff that out with a dry MF towel and the seats are clean and supple again.

Opt leather protectant works as good as 303 and it also contains UV protectant with a nicer smell. I use to use 303 until they raised there prices. Tried Opt and it looked and performed just as well as 303 with a slightly better matte look.

I will have to look into Optimum Protectant, I keep hearing good things about it, and the price is right.

you don't need to protect leather once a week, even if car is outside 24/7. Believe me, I live in California, and it does gets pretty hot here during summer (up to 110)...as far as leather protectant, get Leather Master leather protectant too, otherwise you just wasted your non-squeek combo... I use Optimum on vinyl, not on leather...protect leather once a month, not any more often then that...and be sure you tint your windows...
