Has anybody tried it? Any thoughts? I'm thinking about trying it out on my brother's 97' TL. The car's A/C has smelled for years and the "spray Lysol into the outside intake vents rarely lasts more than a week. The idea behind the product seems sound. I just want to know if anybody has tried it.

I have tried it and it works great just follow the simple instructions and all will be fine.Nice clean fresh smell. It should resolve that issue.

How many applications does one can usually last?

Smelly HVAC vents usually means that there is too much mold accumulated on the in-cabin air filter. Try replacing the in-cabin air filter as well as using the 1Z Klima-Kleaner. You are supposed to use it 2 to 4 times a year and that's it.

97' Tl's don't have a cabin filter. They just stink. I've previously checked the Acurazine forum on the subject years ago. It's a recurring problem with that particular model. Don't know how long Klima-Kleaner's been around, but I've tried just about everything suggested and nothing lasts more than a few weeks, max. Hopefully, it'll do the trick.

Same thing with some Honda's...no inside filters...any suggestions??

Make sure the evaporator drain plug is draining and not plugged up.

The best advice yet. I had a plugged drain on a mid 90's Ford and until it was cleaned out the vents would reek after using the AC. But during the winter they were fine. The heated air would keep everything dry and mold would not form.

I used it and immediately freshened the interior and odd smell. Our truck has a sealed system so no filter to clean other than replacing the charcoal HEPA filter. One problem, if not shaken really well it comes out as liquid under dash.

I'm about to use this for the first time.

Any other words of wisdom on its use? Dos and donts? Cautions?

Thanks.

I think the biggest issue people have is using too much product. What kind of macine and pads are you using?

If you read the caution caption, it says not to use on Acura Vehicles.

CAUTION: Recommended for professional application only. On certain vehicle makes, damage may occur if product is not applied properly. If uncertain about application, have a certified mechanic apply product. Not for use on Acura vehicles. We recommend Klima-Cleaner ETU instead.

The solution is also right there. "We recommend Klima-Cleaner ETU instead."
