It's been a long time since I did any detailing on the wife's car and it was looking a little tired. It sits outside 24/7, sees lots of highway miles, and the dealer has neglected to listen to her request of not washing the car more than once (they use the green brooms to wash btw). I went over it with D300/MF followed by Sonax Perfect finish. I just took some quick after pics as I had to get this all done in one day and it was more about the coating anyway....pics are 24hrs after curing.

Thoughts on the product:

  • Nice darkening/richening effect
  • Slick feel
  • Easy application
  • Like the exclusivity and 2yr warranty

I will keep an eye on the durability over the winter but if it's anything like the normal version I'm sure it will be just fine. ;)

Happy wife! :)

Thanks for looking,

Now you can really see that flake. Sure looks great.

Any idea how long the Finest will last under her driving and parking conditions?

I really like that color. Looks black under most lighting and direction untill you really get up and look at it.

Nice work.

Thanks guys!

Well it comes with a 2yr warranty so I hope last at least that long! :D

Awesome video! Thanks for uploading this in true 1080p HD. I know it takes much longer to upload and encode. :xyxthumbs:

What soap do you use to wash the car with after applying the coating?

I know you're a big Opti-Coat user, why come a different coating? (Apologies if I missed some change I should have known about)

That looks great man!!! I love working on that color its my favorite the worst it is when I start the better. Great work!!

Thanks guys

I've been using CGCW and Opt Car Wash. ;)

Well I'm using my wife's car for long term testing of this product but as of now I feel it looks noticeably better and sheets away water faster. The darkening/richening effect it has on the paint is night and day when applied side by side.
