We have been working on this car for the past couple nights and thought I would share it with yall.

The owner wanted us to get the ton of swirls caused by the previous owner not properly washing. We were excited to do this car...deep red paint, great lines, clean exterior, sports car, what more could you ask for?

First things first...I good wash with Dawn revealed this cars true colors, and they weren't pretty...

But there was hope for this lil red car. Pulled it in the garage and prepped the trim for some long hours on the buffer.

We used a combo of products for the process, Optimum Polish, Wolfgang Spritz Detailer, loads of MFs, Porter Cable, LC Orange Pads...I am sure Pat will jump in and clarify some of the other stuff.

During the correction process...1st is just a photo op haha...

We also restored the headlights back to perfect. There is a little bit of dust on them from him driving to work but they are clear as you can get.

Thanks for looking, this car was a fun one.

Nice job correcting the paint surface. The S2000 looks awesome.

Nice Job man!
Love New Formula Red. :dblthumb2:
You do the soft top with anything?

The soft top is brand new, I would rather not touch it till I learn more about them. We don't do many convertibles.

Looks familiar, nice job!

I was thinking the same thing when I saw your sig on another post.

Thanks :props:

Feel free to make suggestions guys and gals!

Edit...here is what happens when you only have one garage. My car hates me now, hasn't seen rain in over a year. I guess we are just that hardcore?

What did you use on the tires? I like that look on them.

I like that look as well, never been a fan of high gloss stuff. A tire looks best to me in almost a satin finish. I actually ran out of my normal tire dressing so we actually used Armor All Xtreme Shine I had laying around from a Christmas present, or atleast that's what I think it was.

Just sprayed some on a microfiber and put on little by little till it got just a tiny bit of a sheen to it. Turns out, that works pretty good.

I'll try that next time. Sometimes gloss looks good, but it can easily distract you from the overall finish of the car, which is what you worked the hardest on.

I agree 100%!! :dblthumb2:

Really brought the paint back to life, and the red looks deep. Great work.

I'm 03bamaGT's partner in crime. Thanks for all the comments guys, it's inspiring. I know that is a lot of talent on here and we just strive to improve with every job.

It always kinda sux when the red sports car you just took 6 hours on looks better then the red sports car you own - LOL. The S2K is brilliant IMO.

This forum is great... We are both just starting out with this stuff.
Hope to have a busy spring and summer woth more cars, questions and pictures to come.
