So I was carsitting this weekend. The car was a 2004 Nissan Maxima color Majestic Blue Metallic. The paint was far from Majestic. So i decided to give the owner a surprise when she got back. The car already has some clear coat failure on the roof and its full of RIDS and very deep scratches. But i decided to give the car some love. I washed the car and clay the car on Friday night. I also did some test spots on friday night. Got to work on Saturday morning. Overall I think I did pretty good
I tried a couple of different combos.

 1. Meguairs MF pad with D300-This was my first time using it. It did good but i need something more aggressive.Even tried adding some M105 but I got alot of haze
 2. Surbuf with Ultimate compound-much better but i knew i could get much better results.
 3. Surbuf with M105 & UC-Since Im still new to M105 i decided to add some UC. Great results I decided to with this.

Wash-CG CW&G
Clay with CG Lube
Wheels- Iron X
Surbuf with M105 & UC
White Pad with M205
Black Pad CG Glossworkz Glaze
CG Blacklight by Hand
CG 50/50
V7

Thanks for looking.

Car came out great!

I see you had M105/M205 as well as Meg UC, did you need to use all 3 and if so, why? I'm considering trying Meg UC at some point and wanted to see what your impressions were compared to the other 2 Meg's products you used there.

Now that the car is looking more Majestic, tell her to stay ontop of it now, regular washes and maybe a couple coats of BFCS every other month......no wait, once a month, especially out there where its sunny all the time!

klasse act you need to try megs uc it works real good and you can buy at walmart or almost any auto parts store it finishes almost perfect and the $ isnt bad

Car did come out good! If she would wipe it down with Pinnicle detailing spray would make it last a long time. She's pretty lucky (or smart) to have let you baby sit the car for the weekend.

Actually I did use M205 reason being the the M105&UC left a small haze (I'm a noob with M105 that's why I mixed 105&UC to get more working time). I was not going do it but I did a small test spot to see if it was worth it and I could instantly she a difference. UC is great by its self I was very surprise it was my first time using it.

Great job on the restore! How were you combining 105 and UC together? Im guessing by having two drops of 105 on a pad and 1 drop of UC?

That is correct. I still have trouble working with the 105 by its self

I've never used M105 personally so ill prolly do what you did and combine them. I know m105 is a good compound but here in the Texas heat im scared that the workability will suffer big time.

M105 is great this was my second time using it so I have not got the hang of it just yet. Adding UC works wonders. The UC by its self is also great it actually surprise me with the results of the UC by its self.

Some beading action.

Great job! I never get tired of seeing dirty clay bars. It's the same disgusting, socially frowned upon fascination I feel when using Biore pore strips. Gotta see that result!

Any pictures of the failing clear?

Mine is starting to fail. Curse you nissan!

I don't have any pictures of the failing clear at the moment.
That's a sweet 50/50! You need to add this to the "Post Your Best 50/50" thread! Great job on the car, I'm sure she was excited!
thanks. She was she couldnt believe it was the same car because it actually had some gloss and shine to it
