Now remember first off that I am just an anal retentive amateur. Not a Pro like most of you here.

Now on to the good.

I have always used Meguiars so I picked up a tube of Black Wax and all I can say is LOVE THIS STUFF!!

Previously I used M105 as needed, M205 followed by M7, and finally M21. This time I got a better finish with just M205 and Black Wax and spent SEVERAL HOURS LESS on it.

First time I ever detailed this car shortly after I bought it I spent around 32 hours on it (Told you I was anal).

Anyway:

The Black Wax came off easier than anything I have ever used. The results are awesome!

I highly recommend this to anyone.

Here is what the whole car looked like when I started:

All I did was was wash, (NO Clay) a lite M205 Polish with a PC 7424XP and 6.5" LCC White pad. Then the Black Wax applied with a PC 7424XP on a 6.5" LCC Black pad.

Here is what she looks like now. I will take some better shots tomorrow.

The pics really do not do it justice. It looks deep and wet. It darkened the finish quite a bit. I don't care if it has fillers or not I am happy with the finish and it is better than what I got before.

That looks good! I might have to check this stuff out.

I cant look past the STS-V!! Hadnt seen one of them and I think I like it more than the CTS-V nice car man

Ahhhh brown tires! Haha jk man great job :D black wax is definetaly a great wax on black, that shine just pulls you in!

Ouch - looks like sandpaper was used to dry the car.

Nice job

Car looks great. Since this is also a light polish/ cleaner wax would it be pointless to use a glaze or sealant under the Black Wax??

Looking good! I have to give Black wax a shot.

Maintaining a black car here in AZ is a full time job.

Thanks. There were only around 2500 ever made. It has a 4.4L Northstar Supercharged V8. I have made a "few" upgrades and she makes 459rwhp.

Here you go KillaCam

First I wanna give a shout out to my neighbor for using his "DUST BLOWER" to clean his sidewalk as I was taking pics and then come over to talk about the car!!

I love how you can SEE the crap he blew on the driveway in the reflection in my bottom bumper!! You'll also notice the appearance mod in my bumper corner a little old lady gave me at Wal-Mart!!

You can see the dust on the paint in the pics. That is actually dust particles and not defects. Funny it did't LOOK that dirty in person.......

Damn it's hard to keep a Black car clean in the Desert!!

That looks great! Especially for just using 205 then the black wax. Lots of gloss.

Update: Heard from Mike at Meguiars and he said nothing else needs to be applied. he said I should get 2-3 months out of the wax job since I am in such as extreme climate.

How's the wax holding up so far? I showed this thread to my brother when you first posted it and he picked up some Black Wax for his Maxima.

I've got some black wax sitting in the garage. I picked it up as soon as it hit the stores here locally. I've got the white too. I just need to get the time to hit my Frontier (black) and my wife's Rogue (pearl white).
