Hello Everybody,
I just recently received the 'Forum Favorite Kit' and decided to try it out on one of my cars. I have been posting in the 'Off-Topic' forum about this car as it has pretty bad swirling and etched waterspots. I'm going to be buying a flex in the near future, and hopefully i'll be able to learn enough about it to remove these defects :D. I apologize for not having any before pictures... i did take some, but apparently my camera and i weren't on the same page... they were all blurry . So here it is: 2006 Cadillac STS-V... black on black/tango (black and red) leather (with a supercharged 4.4l Northstar v-8 putting out 469hp factory :D ). 0-60 in 5 seconds, 13 flat 1/4 mile factory (at 4300 lbs too.. lol). This car has just under 15k miles on it, and more gadgets then i will ever know what to do with.. LOL... On to the pics:

After Klasse All-In-One and Klass and High Gloss Sealant Glaze (Step1 and 2):

After Souveran (all 3 steps complete):

Please post thoughts/comments!
I figured i would post the results as i LOVE the forum favorite kit... The AIO and the Sealant are somewhat of a pain to apply (not difficult, just have to remember to apply a THIN coat)... but applying the souveran on top of the other two is pure SEX... i didn't stop grinning the entire final step.. LOL. I am now a HUGE fan of all 3 products :D. I can't wait to get the flex and fix the defects and then see what this trio can do!

Thanks for looking!
Ben

all I gotta say is you got my next dream car, perfect color, hardest on the upkeep but best when oh so shiny, :)

Thank you! I honestly did not expect to purchase it this soon (i'm 22 :D), but my business is taking off and it was time to buy another car... it helped that the wife liked it too.. LOL.

I am currently looking for a low mileage STSV , while I prefer Thunder Grey Chromaflair for everyday use and the single ebony interior, these cars are just understated wow !

I don't remember my experiences with Souveran being like sex. As a matter of fact, it was nowhere close as good. Maybe I didn't massage it enough.:D:D:D

There are actually quite a few around... not many in that color though.. lol.. figures. I know where another black one is (i think the single ebony interior.. but i'm not sure)... not sure how close you are to phoenix az.... heck of a deal. Let me know if you want more info on it :D. I almost bought it, then they had a deal on it.. then i bought mine... and now the deal fell through on the other one.. LOL.. Should be around 6k miles on it is all. Feel free to PM me if you're interested.

And, yes the car is amazing.. It is hands down the fastest most refined vehicle i've ever driven... soooo smooth! :D.

Love the car. I have seriously been looking into one of the STSV's or maybe a CTS but I like the size of the STS lol ok I will shut it. The car looks great, wonderful job

cadillac has some really badass looking cars out right now. i really like this body style

Very nice car, very nice results! I'm not sure if the Klasse Twins are forum favorites at all though. Both products are so ridiculous to buff off.

Any type of glaze is going to do some filling in of swirls. The real test is when the glaze wears off or do a IPA wipe down between coats and see if the swirls are still there.Haven't seen klass AIO remove any really bad swirls

Klasse was a big hit a couple years back. AIO should not be hard to remove, if so too much is being used. As for the SG (silver bottle) transfer some to a small spray bottle and buff off immediately. The rewards are 6+ months of a bulletproof surface.

I honestly did not have too hard of a time with either... the glaze is a little harder to work with than AIO.. and both are night and day compared to souveran. I learned the hard way at the beginning of the detail that when they say a 'thin' layer, they really mean THIN! I also used the QD to dampen the pad, and would respray that at least one before i would add a tiny bit more AIO or glaze to the pad. Once the thin layer issue was figured out they really weren't that bad to work with... i'm used to working with a wax that would dust like crazy, so i REALLY appreciated the no dust setup of this kit.

Nice work and I'm really liking the STS-V,, I need to drive one those sometime.

That car is awesome. The paint doesn't look to bad in your pictures. Good work

Not to kick a dead horse, but here is a picture after 1 more coat of Souveran. My wife and i went to visit her parents in Anthem, AZ and decided to go to the "Rock and roll car show" in scottsdale... So i cleaned off all of the road salt i got on it the day before from driving through the snow getting there... and then applied another coat of souveran.

I noticed that even with it being just a second coat, i could tell a huge difference... much more depth. (and it hid my swirls/water etching better :D)

The STS-V is going to be my next car(Soon as this recession F's off). The inside is as sexy as the outside and very comfortable seats, as Cadillac always has in its full sized cars.

How bout some interior shots?

LOL.. unfortunately i don't have any interior shots yet... my wife was taking the pics at the show, and both her and i seem to space that out anytime we have ahold of the camera... i'll grab some and post them here in the next day or so.

wait till you sit in the Recaro seat option in the new CTS-V, no offense to its bigger brother the STS-V, buts its interior is far nicer. I would love a combo on both ...

How bout some interior shots?

Sorry, i haven't been able to take any shots of the interior... i just got back from a trip to denver (7hrs one way) so the interior is too dirty to post on here without some prodding.. lol... I did however find a pic from when i first bought it that shows a little more of the interior (and a lot more of my wife.. LOL), and i also found a pic from when i first bought it with me sitting in it. (i know i look completely out of it, and REALLY needed a haircut... it is a horrible picture of me, but shows the interior a little.. LOL)

I am still planning on getting some good shots this weekend after i detail it again... i'll post them if i do.

Great car. What you've done so far looks fantastic. Onward & upward as they say. :)
