This is a daily driver, not a garage queen. The husband ownes a 2000 C5 vert, and this one is his wifes. He is the one taking care of it(washing) and has done a great job so far.
He called me two weeks ago to do it, and was able to get him in this week.

When it was all done, they saw it and said it looked better then when they drove it off the showroom.

Interior

Doors/dash/console received DP Interior Surface Protectant, carpets vaccumed and water/woolite mix to clean leather. The conditioned with Danase Rx

Tires & Rims

Optimum car soap the 16' deep reach wheel brush and a reg. wheel brrush. Surf City's Black Tire Pro applied to tires. Just one coat to do it. Optimum opti-seal to chrome rim

The Wash
ONR and a MF was all that was needed. They must have gave it a bath this past weekend.

The Gameplan
Before I begun I taped off the trim around a few areas. As not to fade it or wear it down from the machine. I chose the PC on this one, with a 5.5 org. low profile LC pad. Optimum polish and Menz 106FF to the whole car. Started at around speed 3, then bumped it up to 6 to finish it out. The hood was four sections, roof two, doors two, fenders also two sections. Removed with a Cobra Blue Indigo mf. Then Dp Premium Surface Shield sealant was applied to the surface. Final topper was Optimum opti-seal

great work high end, looks beautiful... like a stealth jet.

Few questions for you... doesnt the poly-seal remove the DP surface shield? Wouldn't they work better the other way around?
The poly-seal looks like it works great on the wheels too
And also are you mixing the OP with the 106? If so what ratio? to cut down on dusting I'm assuming?

Again looks awesome, I always enjoy seeing your work

Looks awesome, love that black Vette...I wonder how it will look next to Killrwheels Vette...;)

Vette looks great and swirl free. I still don't like the opti-seal look. Love the looks of a black C6. Looks like you trying to capture your recent silver Z06 shot.

Thankyou, I didn't use poly-seal. I used Opti-seal on top of DP Surface Shield. With the OP and 106FF, I find op helps with a little more shine/depth and helps with cutting a little dust too. I use a little less OP then 106FF on the same pad.

That was a 1 in a millon shot, I don't think it will happen any time soon. But I can try

that car is sweet..nice work as always Ed,,,,

Great job. I assume the DPSS was not given time to cure before topping with OS? I'm wondering if the OS dissolved some of the DPSS? Anyway, excellent look.

HOLY SHMITT!!!

Look at that reflection off the hood, that is about as sharp as you can get!!!

Love the reflections off that hood! Nice work on a black Vette!

I thought the same thing. I gave it a 1/2 hour :D then opti-sealed it.

Well I am glad to see I wore off on you Ed, I can tell my visit to DFII was well noted !! (hehehe)

Sweet! Did you use the orange or white pad? The vette looks, uh, killr!

Oh, that's right, I said it:) haha.......

Unlike Gary, I like the look of Optiseal.
