I traded in my '06 Mazdaspeed6 for this new '07 S2000 last week. The dealer was eager to move it so gave me a nice deal. Basically they threw in every installed accessory for free.

It had been with the dealer long enough to get pretty major swirls in it. I started with the PC to see what it could do, with the intention of moving to the rotary if the PC didn't cut it. But the PC cleaned up the paint fairly quickly, so I stuck with it. The soft Honda CC is great when correcting, but not so much for maintenance. I did a very gentle foam gun wash with a BHB on a panel I polished and noticed some light marring afterwards. Oh well. I'll deal with it and try to be even more careful in my washing technique

I tried SIP, OC and SSR 2.5. I settled on 2.5 as it seemed to work better in the sun than the other two.

I still need to do a bit of work on the hood, trunk and driver's side of the car. I'll likely go over the entire car once again with a finish polish after that.

Wash
Sonus green clay - surprisingly removed practically nothing
SSR 2.5
Poli-Seal

Please excuse the semi-dirty wheels. I was only working on dealing with the paint.

BTW, I love this car!

Just one before of the damage. This is fairly representative of the condition of the entire car with the exception of the hood and trunk, which were worse.

those are nice cars. i worked at a honda dealership in 2000 when they came out. real fun car to drive. i thought i heard in like 2005 or sometime around there they switched to s2200 cause they put the 2200 engine in them. maybe it was just for a test car. anyways nice car

I had a 2003 Spa Yellow (go figure!) and loved it. I loved everything about it. The lease was so great on it too!

Nice work on the finish!

Looking good Sevenrd. Nothing like a shinney red sports car. I hope your enjoying your new car.

oh my my..S2000..yum yum..gonna be my next car...i hope!! *fingers and toes crossed*

Btw..just wondering..do you guys..PC'ed the plastic bumpers...?

You made that red beautiful. I guess that we're the only ones that see swirls on a new car ????

^A.W. I PC the plastic bumpers.

Nice color, we all know New Formula Red is the fastest color :D. Btw, what made you decide to make the switch? Your should come and introduce yourself at the wash and wax forum on s2ki.com. There are quite a few detailing experts there....I'm sure you have plenty of wisdom to impart.
