A client of mine whom I recently did a bmw z3 for, just bought this f350 crew cab power stroke diesel. It was in very rough shape. Looked like the guy he bought it from was probably a hunter judging by the tree branch marks down the side if the truck and some fur I found in the bed of the truck. Oh and also the 357 bullets and cartridges I found in the seat rail lol. So the client was looking to get it cleaned up and mostly complained of the interior due the to dog fur,smell and it just being in plain rough shape. He wanted to go with my package that includes in and out detail but includes only a one step polish. Well long story short I wasn't happy with the one step result, and I have a thing about black vehicles and nice trucks in general. So I went ahead and gave it a full correction minus deep scratches( this is a daily driver). I also did paint touch up and some minor rust repair and undercoating, also touch up the suspension and wheel wells. The customer was ecstatic with the results!
I haven't worked on this black on this model before and I have to say it was quite difficult to find the right combo, it probably could have done with an extra step of polishing but this was a customer appreciation upgrade so time and expense was a factor. The paint was rough so I had to cut down pretty well without going crazy, and with that the hazing was evident, and had to find just the right pad and speed to for the polish to rid the cut pad hazing and not further induce polishing haze in a 2 step process. The paint was relatively soft and marred easily. But gave great results being that is was so badly neglected.
