I can finally make a thread of a full job :bananas: Any comments, feedback, advice would be greatly appreciated :)

As an early Father's Day present, I decided to show my folks what it is that I do and restore that shine to my dad's CRV.

Quick history on the car: It's outside 24-7 and has only gotten washes whenever it had maintenance done to it (dealership machine wash). So it has been exposed to the hot Hawaiian sun and elements for a little over 5 years. I've always offered to take care of his car but it wasn't until I had done my mom's (which was her Mother's Day gift, another thread to make soon) that he said, "Sure".

I did a 3-step job. Forgive me as it was my first attempt to do a job while taking pictures throughout the process. I have omitted care to the headlights as I'm saving that for later down the road.

And to the specs:

Clean:
Dawn-soap Wash (2x, pre and after polish)
Metro Air Dry
Meg's OTC Clay w/TW RR diluted to a QD
Meg's Wheel Brightener w/Meg's brush and Wheel Woolies
Purple Stuff + Pinnacle APC (1:5) to clean tires
Pinnacle APC (1:5) to clean trim

Correct:
Flex 3401
Meg's UC
Meg's UP
Klass AIO

Dress/Protect:
BF WDAPP (body)
Mother's B2B (trim)
Meg's Tire Shine (tire)
Autosmart In&Out (engine)

And here we go with the pictures:

The grime caked up on the plates being behind a frame all this time:

And here's some sun-shots post washing:

And also, the engine (which wasn't even 1/10th the condition of my mom's engine):

WOW amazing job!!! The before/after shot you posted shows a much improved clarity. I bet your dad was ecstatic! What was his reaction?

How long did the entire process take you?

Haha now he's asking me how to keep it maintained. He loved it.

Over the course 5 days, totaling roughly... 35 hours? I'm extremely slow D;

Great idea and awesome job

Thanks. It gave me a reason to visit back home so I'm sure that was a present in itself too :)
