Hello everyone.

This will not be a dramatic before and after detail, but it is my first attempt at sharing my detailing experience. The car at hand is a 2008 Lexus IS250 with minimal defects. The car is garage kept and not even driven much at all. The worst of the damage is some bird etchings and some swirling.

I always have AG up on the laptop while detailing to look up anything along the way that may come up. :xyxthumbs:

I failed to take a before shot, but the car was clean from the previous wash still so there would not had been any dramatic effects. Here is the car after being clayed

And taped..

My pads get very dirty or dark after short usage when working with this car... Any ideas why? This is after my two test spots.

And after the WGDG 3.0....

Ill have to go take a photo of the car tomorrow with a camera better than my cell phone to get the full effects after the p21S LSP...

Also, I was searching and saw some posts about correcting interior pieces as well. I went ahead and removed my dash and took out all of the pieces and switches and went to town :buffing:... I used M105, PF-2500 and finished it with some of the P21S wax. I was so impressed with this. I had a large faded scuff mark on this and TONS of circular scratches. After the compounding it looked good and once I threw the PF on there it was all gone.

(I see some white wax that needs removing!)

Each time I do a full detail I learn something new. I welcome all comments, questions, and pointers. Since this wasnt a spectacular detail from start to finish, I didnt go into much detail. Thanks all who have read this :xyxthumbs:

I believe that Lexus has tinted clearcoat, but nice work:xyxthumbs:

Thanks guys.

Are tinted clear coats any different in terms of durability? Does any technique have to change when working on a car with a tinted clear?

+1 I believe Acura TSX's are the same way. Other than some color transfer I'm not aware of any differences.
