I had the priveledge of detailing not one, but two, Saleen S281 Extremes this past weekend. Numbers 26 and 76, both belonging to the same home. They were both having tint, stereos and other goodies installed by GV Autosport and I was asked to make these low mile beauties shine! I had to match the quality of the install jobs being done, so I definitely had my work cut out ahead of me. Fortunately, both vehicles were in immaculate shape with the exception of a handful of correctable defects and dirt from being driven. Number 76 was only driven for about 8,000 miles and number 26 even less at 3,100 miles, so I'd hope they were in the shape they were in, even being 2006 models.

With that said, nothing was over looked, the wheels were removed, all vinyl taped off, plastic covered and treated to maximize the result of the gloss in the paint. Products used is as follows:

P21S TAW
P21S GWC
P21S Finish Restorer
P21S Polishing Soap
Menzerna 203 - Yellow/Orange for defects
Menzerna PO85RD - Green
P21S Paint Cleanser - love this stuff
Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant - Blue
Poorboy's Natural Look
Poorboy's Bold and Bright
Rejex Sealant
Adam's Undercarriage spray

Wax was not added, as the cars will be stored in a 68 degree garage in car bubbles. The sealant was MORE than enough protection.

Car as it was when I first arrived.

The paint was in excellent condition and only required light polishing/jeweling, a few defects were repaired, but over all we tried to crank as much shine out of this silver as possible. Hopefully these reflection photos capture it!

Saleen Mustangs have always been far overpriced for the performance they offer.

Nice job anyway. :xyxthumbs:

Owning a Mustang, most of them are. The only Mustangs (current) that I would consider buying for my next vehicle would the 03/04 Cobra or the 03/04 Mach 1. Two very gorgeous cars and very nice powerplants from the get-go.

Nice job. I know how bad silver is LOL.

Beautiful looking Saleen! Nice job. Does the owner know about the bent rim ?

impresions about the car, didnt drive it so dont know how power is. first, spoiler is useless in back just adds extra weight, wheels are heavy as hell, at least 90 pounds each with tires, ud think they went for performance, brakes - 6pot in front, single piston in back, wtf. finish quality sucks. would not buy this car even if it was 50% off retail

if i had 80 grand to spend id get GT-R

now that you mentioned it i checked hi res image and its not bent, its either dirt or something

The back of the wheel looks slightly bent in the second picture of the dirty wheels ? It could just be some brake dust or grease. Thank you for checking Misha
