Hello All,

This SUV came to me through a referral and it was in need of serious attention inside and out. The paint had moderate swirling but after talking with the customer, they just wanted a standard detail with no paint correction :(. I documented the process and wanted to share with everyone , feedback is much appreciated. Thanks and enjoy!

Interior
-APC+ 1:10 on plastics, vinyls and leather
-APC+ 1:4 with Folex spot treatment on floor mats
-Stoner invisible glass on all windows/windshield

Exterior
-meguiars NXT Wash
-APC+ 4:1 on tires
-Mothers Polish/Power Ball on wheels
-DP clay
-303 Aerospace on plastics/moldings
-Klasse AIO on chrome
-Opti-Bond gel on tires
-Poorboys EX sealant
-Rain-X on windshield

Turned out great!

I see this is your first post as well, so welcome to AGO :welcome:

My wife has a 2010 Edge...same wheels - how did you like the powerball? I was thinking about getting one.

Damn, nice job on the wheels and mats! The wheels didn't even look like they were chrome in the before pics. As for the mats, I see you said you used APC+ and Folex, but what exactly did you use to scrub them clean? I also see there's vacuum marks on the mats in the after pictures. What did you use to vacuum them after you scrubbed them clean?

Welcome to AGO.. nice work!

My wife's Edge has the same wheels... if I buy her new Edge and take over hers... I will get new wheels for it. I don't care for them.

Looks like a different vehicle. Nice work.

Thanks, its great to contribute finally after being a daily forum browser for months!

Well, I first attacked these wheels by hand and was not getting the results I wanted not to mention the time it was eating up. So i ran to the local parts store and picked one of these up to give it a go. First impressions...meh...for these wheels with the tight spaces it was okay but couldnt touch the break dust in the corners, ect. I feel on larger, more open wheels it would be awesome. I did manage to tear off a few of the tabs but overall it was OKAY, I would recomend it over hand polishing anyday though!:p

Wow.....those floor mats turned out great
Nice Job!!!!

Thanks!

Thank you! I was pleased with the results as well. The first step of my process is to thoroughly vacuum the mats then wet them down with water. Then, liberally spray APC+ (1:4) on entire surface and use a soft bristle brush to gently scrub away the grime/dirt. If there are stains I will pour some Folex directly on the stain and let soak for a little bit. Then I put the hose on the shower setting(if applicable) and run the nozzle flush against the mats back and forth to get all the suds/dirft out. Once the water runs clear, without suds and dirt, I brush off the excess water then vaccum it dry with a shopvac...:dblthumb2:

Hope this helps!
