The owner of this Jeep is also the owner of that gorgeous Mustang with the FOOSE wheels I did as well. I was looking forward to it being a much easier job. White is a very nice break from so many black cars once in a while. Anyway, here it is as it arrived:

There were going to be some differences in the treatment this one got too vs the Mustang. This one was getting OG and the trim was going to be treated to the DG beta trim coating.

First up was the wheels.

The barrels got Tarminator first, followed by Zep Citrus.
The faces got Megs WB followed by Zep Citrus.
The tires were cleaned with Zep 505.
The wells were cleaned with LATA.

The vehicle was then foamed with a strong solution of DG 901 + Megs Hyper Wash plus IronX soap gel.
That was followed by a hand wash with DG 901.
The last cleaning stage, and crucial for a white vehicle, was IronX paste with a grout sponge.
The vehicle was then brought inside and the wheels, barrels and wells were blown dry with the Master Blaster.
It was then clayed with Riccardo yellow. (I went old school to be a bit more aggressive).

Paint Correction:

I tried a few things including mf pads but what made the white get its depth back was a yellow B/S with M100 and my Flex, which was substituted for a rotary with 4" pads in tight areas. That was followed by the Rupes and a white pad + M205.
Here is a low-tech trick for protecting the bumper while doing the bottom of the trunk lid (it wouldn't open only partially):

The final paint prep stage was DG Squeaky Clean + green B/S + Flex.

Chrome:

The chrome trim is quite nice on these and I used M205 and a white pad to make it jump. I love 205 on chrome!

Coating:

All the paint, chrome, wheels and side and back glass got coated with OG. The windshield got coated with Opt Pro Glass coating. The trim as mentioned before was treated with the beta DG trim coating.

The interior was not done although I did the glass with a KD/CarPro mf. I also used a beta DG polish/sealant on the wood inside. (no pics of that)

Again, it was raining outside, so here are the inside shots of it all done:

See how much chrome likes 205!

Clarity of Reflection:

Thanks for looking. Comments always appreciated!

Wow looking really nice there!! What dressing did you apply to the tires?

The white looks like it's still wet.
Very impressive results on that color.
Nice break from all the previous vehicles but still a lot of work.

Not that it matters at all because it looks great but, I think that is a 2011.

Very nice! My wife's Dodge journey is the same color and looks awesome when fully detailed. Its one of the deeper white colors I've worked on.

Rich that looks awesome. I need to show our 2011 GC limited some love. How was the paint? Like soft or hard?

Lookin' snazzy! :dblthumb2:
Thanks very much Shane!

Thanks. That was DG Wet Shine, but to be honest, I don't think it had dried enough before I shot the pics. I apply it with an air gun and then level it with an applicator. It doesn't usually have a high gloss that way, but the air gun gives it a very uniform finish.

Thanks very much. Yes, it was a much needed break from black, LOL. The DG Squeaky Clean gave it that last bit of gloss. I know it's not a polish, but I swear that it has helped every paint I have ever tried it on!

It might very well be. I had a notepad paper with all the details on the car (products, year, etc) but my wife threw it away not knowing I needed it. I was going from memory for the year (I cheated and saw the products in one of the pics, hahahahaha).

I really like it too. I want to try the new GC diesel when it comes out. Who knows? That may be my next vehicle...

Great results on that Jeep mate !
Thanks very much; I appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Awesome work as usual. Always enjoy reading your threads and picking up advice and product recommendations. I'm gonna try some 205 on the chrome trim on my GC.
I owned a 2007 GC diesel before I picked up a new one in 2012. I loved it. It had tons of torque and the mileage compared to the other engines then was impressive. I plan on getting another diesel model here shortly. Kicking myself for not waiting.

Thanks very much! Finding the right combo of pad/product to me is the most fun. You play around till you get that 'AHA" moment when you know you've nailed it.
You must have had the MB diesel then. The Fiat diesel sounds very impressive with its specs. I've heard it does have some mild chatter. You also need to add a substance to the exhaust too. I don't think the MB diesel needed that if I recall. I usually keep my cars for around 7 years and have only had my Lincoln for 2.5, so I've got a long time to wait until the time is right anyway. I will get out and drive one just to satisfy my curiousity!!

Great work man.

lol ingenious recycled usage for cereal boxes too!

... lol GOT KIDS????
Thanks man! No sh!t with the kids comment, LOL. I also use a recycled cereal box after I've removed the mats and need to move the car- I place one in the driver's mat place to protect the floor. 1001 uses....1002 if you eat the cereal, LOL.

Great job, as usual Richy!
Thanks very much and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Their s so much to learn from threads like these ; products , processes , name it .

Beautiful work Richy! That GC looks absolutely flawless.

Thanks very much. I have learned a lot from reading others' write ups over the years. IMO, it's more about posting pretty pics. Buy a car magazine if you want to look at that. It's about learning how to do it correctly yourself.

Thanks for the kind words Nick, I appreciate it!

Very nice. check the year though. that's not a 2010.
Thanks, and yes, if you see above, I explained where I had a crib sheet with the info on this vehicle and it got thrown out. I was going from (faulty, LOL) memory.
