This is my first post that I will be showing off my work. I been part of the forums for a couple years now. I'm not much of a forum poster at all, I'm the silent guy that reads.

So here we have is a 2010 370z nismo edition that happens to be a friend of mine. This car was one of my first full paint correction jobs. This car only had about 12k on the clock, but the paint was all swirled and scratched up. The owner has told me he has cleaned the car with a broom when it snowed. I knew I was in for a long correction, especially being my first intensive paint correction. The car in person was 20 times worse then my iphone has captured in those pictures.

* Please excuse my cell phone pictures

Products used:

- chemical guys citrus wash (red) two bucket method.

- sonax full effect plus wheel cleaner with various brushes

- tires cleaned with tuf shine wheel cleaner

- wheels wells degreased with Meg's super degreaser.

- decontaminated with iron x

- Clay barred with chemical guys medium grade clay.

- d300 with Meg's microfiber cutting pad on a rupes 21mm. Smaller spots were done with my gg3.

- polished with sonax 4-6 and a white rupes foam pad.

- wiped down with carpro eraser

- sealed with sonax net shield.

- wheels dressed with chemical guys VRP.

Enough with the talking on to some pictures.

unfortunately I wasn't able to take good pictures with a nice camera or with the sun out. That day the sun was going in and out.

If I would say it's perfect I would say nothing.
Nismo looks sparkling with cosmic dust.

I also use Sonax Perfect Finish + got all their professional Nano line products but must say it's very much below my expectations. Yes, the tubes (got over 20) do the job when it comes to defects polishing especially scratches but for swirls, holograms, cobweb scratches and small imperfections all of it is too aggressive on paint and clear coat, all this line I would not recommend for detailing and restorations where a lot of attention and concentration is needed - but only for paint shops, actually Sonax developed it for such use.
Any product I have used even Perfect Finish, Nano Polish where they promise high gloss finish 4/6 it's not, to get the real gloss I had to apply other brands sealant or wax and only by machine, all Sonax Profiline marred the paint, it's very far away from perfect as they say.
If somebody is new to it, stay away from it as there are so many much better professional products available for detailing & restorations. One other thing, all this line is to be used only by machine polishing, if you do it by hand no effect & then removal not with microfiber but with the sealant/wax, soft pad & machine.

I recommend Sonax Profiline only to paint shops (as all of you must know that after the paint shop in most cases detailer gets the car to bring it to real shine & glory).

Now the good news, all Sonax not professional car care products are of outstanding quality & really perfect, I love it more than Profiline, much more.

Results look amazing! Great color. How did that tape work out for you? I picked some up from the store and used it on my roof for cleaning the sun roof seal. seems to work great. Wondering ow it was on the seals and paint?

not that great honestly, it was really cold when i did this job. the tape would come off as im trying to work. i normally use the green tape, it seems to stick better. I was in a jam and home depot is only down the block.

I have used frog tape before and a few others. The frog tape seemed to start unwrapping itself as i worked. I see your point about the cold, it seems more exciting when i finish a car and its nice and sunny outside not cold. :( Either way great work! Don't doubt yourself :)

Beautiful work!

PS Your avatar is awesome!! I think that is my girlfriend on that avatar of your...LOL
