2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Express

20 MPG! HIGHWAY......

Filling it is not going to be cheap, BUT if thats not a concern then I say get it, cause there is no sense in making a car payment on a car you dont like.

I'm in the market as well. I'm currently looking at the R/T model with plans of lowering it. I really want to locate an SRT-10 model but that won't be practical due to the amount of driving I do, at least 30,000 miles per year. You have my vote 100% on this one :).

*Edit - Just built an Express model with similar options but $5,000 less. If I plan to lower the truck then I don't need to worry about the R/T suspension since most of it will be removed. I need to check into this, thanks BobbyG!

Yeah gas will not be cheap with a Hemi but I live about 10 min from work. I work 6 days a week so I don't plan on driving all over town everyday. I'm just thinking for the price it's a nice looking simple truck with a lot of power.

Yeah I would love to have the R/T version but the price tag is a little too much for me. The Express model does look very similar to the R/T model minus the 22" Wheels, Fake Hood Scoops, Sport Tuned Suspension and the color matched side Mirrors. I would be happy with the 20" wheels and the same Hemi motor for a much cheaper payment.

I don't know why I put BobbyG, sorry about that. For basically $5k less you can have a very similar truck. I've been going back and forth and it's just not worth it for the extra money. What do you plan to do with your Colorado? Is it auto or 5 speed? Which motor?

My husband has the 08 and loves it. I like the looks of the chrome grill, but this looks quite cool.

Yeah I went and looked at the R/T model last night while the dealership was closed. Wow what a beautiful looking truck but they wanted $33K for it. I think the Express model is very nice looking for around $23K I like the fact that it is a very simple truck with a lot of power. I just want to trade the Colorado in towards the new truck. The Colorado had the Inline 5 motor Automatic and it has 130k miles.

Mineral Gray

I've got a 11 Charger R/T and I average 17.5 between stop and go in the city and blasting down the highway - not bad really. And I love that 395 foot pounds of torque!

I have an 09 SLT crew cab and I love it. I average 18 mpg with mixed driving. Mine is mineral gray too

The 2011 Charger R/T is a beast. I would love to have an R/T model. The torque of the Hemi motor is really nice. I hope I end up purchasing this truck.

Dodge may have fixed this problem but if thet haven't then count on replacing the trans at around 70,000 miles.

I'm glad to hear that you love the SLT crew cab. A lot of people have told me to stay away from Dodge but I really like this truck. The Express model looks great has plenty of power and a good price. I really like it in the Mineral Gray such a nice color

I didn't know there was a problem with the transmission on these trucks? I would hate to replace the transmission at 70K. Thank you for this info.

It's on almost all of their transmissions but if Dodge's 100,000 mile powertrain warranty is worth anything then it should be covered, but you should double check just to be sure.

I like it. I hope you get the deal you want! The rear coils make for a really nice ride and virtually eliminates the rear wheel jump when taking turns and hitting a bump that is common to pickups.
