A friend of mine came to me after his father in law passed, who was a 2 purple heart recipient, and asked if i could get his FIL's truck ready to sell. I said of course. He said theres one big issue, the truck smells extremely bad of cheap cigars. Hes smoked em everyday in this truck since he bought it new in 2011. I did inside, outside, engine, and smell removal.

Autogeek, the handle that comes with the Boars Hair Brush SUCKS. Sorry to say. This is the first time i used the brush and handle and it broke at the threads. i was using light pressure, basically letting the weight of the brush do the work b/c the truck was pretty clean when it was dropped off. The brush is amazing though.

Montana Original 10 inch Boar’s Hair Car Wash Brush & Telescopic Handle is a soft, gentle car wash brush for cars, trucks, SUVs, and boats. Auto wash

Engine with ARO and multiple brushes
Wheel wells with ARO and wheel and tire brush
Rims with Pinnacle Wheel Gel and small boars hair brush
Yamaha Pressure Washer and Chemical Guys Foam Cannon with Snow Foam then cleaned large boars hair brush
Chemical guys mitt with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash
Dried with Chemical Guys After Wash with large microfiber
DP Max Wax applied
Wolfgang Vinyl and Rubber protectant on exterior all rubber, vinyl, and plastic
Tires dressed with the rest of my ArmorAll Gel
Interior cleaned and protected with DP
Windows cleaned with Stoners

This took care of the interior smoke smell. It says on the bottle to use it once and let it sit in the area for an hour. i sprayed the interior heavy, let it sit sealed up over night, sprayed it again in the morning before i went to work, let it sit sealed up for another 6 hours, then a third time while i washed it. I didnt even use half of 1 bottle. It took care of the smell. Not 1 single bad review on Autogeeks site and i will add another very good review. I will say the smell in this truck was HORRIBLE and this stuff works!!

Really nice job, while the outside and inside had quite the transformation the engine compartment was one of the best.

Great cleanup job!

I know what you mean about the handle on that brush. I have that brush and after the first use went to HD and bought a better telescoping handle.

So, a good interior cleaning was able to get rid of the smoke smell?

Thanks!! Appreciate it. The inside of the truck came to me already really clean. The owner had cleaned it up already b/c of someone who had some to look at buying it.

HAHA, yah ill be hitting up Lowes (only thing around here) after work today. Thanks for the compliment! and thanks for the reminder, i will go back and edit it to post the product i bought from AG to get rid of the smell. The owner had tried about a dozen things including baking soda boxes under the seats for multiple days, the odor bombs, other odorizer things, an ozone machine for multiple days, and it barely did anything.

As a Ram owner, I can really appreciate your work. Nice job!!!

Nice work and great write up. That turned out really good.

The battery blanket, how did you tackle that and make it look so good?

Beautiful job, Ice Man! That'll sell a LOT higher now!

I would be honored to drive the former truck of a double Purple Heart recipient.

Great job Iceman! The Ram 1500 looks great. Sorry to hear about the telescopic handle braking. We can upgrade you to the Heady-Duty Stainless Steel Telescopic Handle. It's much more durable IMO. https://www.autogeek.net/heavy-duty-brush-handle.html

Thanks for the compliment. I'll keep this handle in mind. I picked one up from Lowe's on my way home from work so I'll see how it does.

Nice work!

Thank you!

fantastic !

Thanks!!

Nice job Iceman and great photography.

Thanks a lot!! I used ARO (amazing roll off) and a soft brush. It was only a thick layer of dust and soft dirt on everything. Nothing too nasty at all. I don't warm up the motor at all. Cover all electrical connections and alternator with aluminum foil that i can, Hose the motor down with a light shower at all times, spray it down with ARO diluted to what u need, agitate it with a brush, then rinse! It was that easy. Then I let it air dry.

It sure was an honor.
