After using my new PC7424XP on family members' cars it was time to remove the copious swirls from my own. It had some swirls in it when I took delivery and then I got stupid lazy and ran it through a car wash one time. I knew better but "hey I've a new PC on the way. It'll be okay." WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!! It's so much easier to put defects in than it is to take them out.

Here are some before pics after a wash (a correct 2 bucket hand wash!) to show my starting point:

After clay bar, polishing with Menzerna Power Finish with white LC pad, 1 coat of Collinite 845 and a wash:

I was a little disappointed because, after seeing some of the fine work done by all of you, I was expecting perfection. Well, it's not perfect but then again I'm still a rookie at this. At any rate I think it's a major improvement so I felt compelled to show it off.

I originally planned on doing a 2nd step polish with PO85rd but I was using someone else's garage and just couldn't do a 2 step correction in one day by myself. Maybe next time.

well those pics didn't show much. Let me try that again.

might not be perfect, but, looks pretty good in those pics.

You really should try the Megs MF system. It is really easy to achieve great results right off the bat.

I think you did a respectable job. Just need to go a little more aggressive.

Thanks guys. I do have some UC that I probably should have used for more cut or maybe the MF system as suggested. Still learning as I go.

I think it came out really good for someone who is still learning.
